it was terrible tonight!!!!! i specifically called to see if they had a certain dress in which they said they did... the whole reason we drove to carle place-- we show up and they didnt have i!!!!! the best part the girl appologized but didnt really care--- we were there and a bridesmaid there was trying on her dress and they ordered the wrong length and the bride was sooo surprised!!!! i felt so bad--- bad vibes ad unfortunately will not be going back
so.... who else carries jim hjlem occasions??

Bridal Reflections pretty much told me I couldn't afford their Carle Place location and that I might have better luck in Massapequa... MAYBE. So I kinda said EFF U and will not be going.

That's what I thought but apparently, the Massapequa location is more budget friendly, Carle Place is higher end and Manhattan is even more high fashion. I knew about Manhattan, but I figured Carle Place and Massapequa would have relatively the same stuff. Guess I was wrong.
I'd just like to say that I'm not looking to spend $200 on a gown either... my budget is in the Maggie/Sophia Tolli/Mon Cheri range, which isn't an ENORMOUS budget, but what I thought was a repsectable amount to spend on a dress I'll wear for 12 hours.

Thats so weird.. my dress and the dresses i am going to try on are all coming from manhattan to carle place, they are all the same owners. If you went to carle place they can get dresses from massapequa for you.. they are also so nice when i go there . . I cant believe they would say that to you!!

I can't believe they said that?? i have never heard that about them before. I only went to Carle Place for my BM dresses and I've been in a wedding where we ordered BM dresses at Carle Place and in another one where the dresses were ordered at Massapequa and there was zero mention of a price difference or anything like that.
I'd call and complain about whoever said that to you- then I'm sure you'll get some sort of discount!

I dealt w them looking for a stephen yearick dress. Their stores arent linked. They made me call all 3 stores individually! Nice huh?
Imo the only store worth dealing w is 5 th ave. They called the designer for me. None of the others could? Turned me off completely.

Bridal elegance in huntington carries them! aanddd they have better prices!

Yeah you mentioned this before but its so weird to me, I really think it depends on the person you get. They have called each store for me maybe 15 times to track down dresses for me, and call stephen yearicks at least twice. Once to get 'my design' approved and another to find a sample dress.

Wedding Salon of Manhasset carries Jim Hjelm. They have a trunk show Thursday to Sunday where they will have all the new dresses. Woman was super helpful! Im going tomorrow :o)

that happened to me last weekend. i called the bridal suite of centereach to see if they had a specific dress. they told me they did and when i got there, they didn't have it.
so annoying!

That's why I wouldn't go to the Carle place one. I took my girls to the massapequa one we didn't find the dress there but we tried it on somewhere else and asked if Bridal reflections in Massapequa could order it and they said yes. My BM's all want to go to Carle Place though. So we're ordering through Massapequa but they are getting measured at Carle Place and will probably have them altered in Carle Place b/c we live closer to carle place.

btw, someone on the knot is selling dress credit of $2600 for $2000 because their bf is cancelling their wedding and already put money on a dress. The $$ can be transferred to someone too.
