Has anyone had a good experience with them? I honestly did not get a good vibe today. I had a saleswoman who must have thought i was born yesterday and tried to pull every emotional trick on me. Plus i felt very pressured. They told me that i had to get it today and could not wait! BUT, i loved the dress. And it could have just been the particular person. I am checking out a another store that carries the same line tomorrow and hope that will work out, but if not i may (against my better judgement) go back to Bridal Reflections. Any words of advice?
PS - edited to change to Massapequa (not Carle Place) store. Plus, just want to add that i did do a search and saw that in the past a couple of people have had great experiences in the past and a couple have not. Has anyone dealt with them recently? Thanks so much girls -- this dress shopping is really an involved process (but it was so much fun!)

Re: Bridal Reflections in Carle Place?
Do a search! I went to a different place but also felt the pressure and the owner tried to convince me that if I didn't buy this particular dress at that moment, then I would regret it for the rest of my life. I told her that I wanted my mother to see it before I put any money down. My mother lives 2 hours away and works nights, so the owner first insisted that we both take time off of work, then suggested that my mother drive down here after working all night to see one dress on me, then drive the two hours home. The owner made the appointment and coincidentally it was on my mother's birthday. She said that it would be the perfect birthday present! My mother, on the other hand, told me that if she drove down here on her birthday after working all night, it would be to strangle this ****** owner! Moral of the story is if you felt a bit uncomfortable, look elsewhere!
PS: This dress that this owner insisted that I walked down the aisle looked like a nightgown my grandmother would wear!

I ordered my gown from them and thought they were terrific! Marni was my sales associate and she was very down-to-earth.

I also ordered my dress from them. It was a Lazaro that I actually found on the Lazaro website and fell in love with. I couldn't find it anywhere on LI and they were the only store that offered to get me a sample to try on. I didn't get the best feeling from them but I also went to 6 other stores and didn't really feel that great about any of them. But like I said they did save me a trip into the city. I ordered it and it came in in four months, I still have to start my alterations in March but so far no problems.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Carle Place?
I went with my friend to the Massapequa store and darnell helped her. She was so nasty. She told her that she didn't have anything to help her and she would be better off somewhere else. She also rushed her. They were closing at 9, and the appointment was for 8. She rushed everything and started closing while we were there! She should not have made the appointment for 8 if she knew she closed at 9! We left and she went to the Carle Place store and that's where she got her dress. They were so nice and friendly and did not pressure her at all! I would never step foot in the Massapequa store again! My suggestion if you LOVED the dress, get it at Carle Place. If they don't have it there, they can have it brought in.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Carle Place?
I hate the carl place store! They ordered my dress and than five months later called me and told me it was in, but in the wrong colors! Then 5 MONTHS later told me my dress does not come in the color that I ordered! The woman on the phone was not very pleasent she told me I could either take the dress the way it was or go find a new one! She also told me I should come in and look at it...the same woman that has my order form in front of her and just dialed area code 407...I am sorry can you not read that I live in FLORIDA This happened almost a month ago and I am STILL very bitter about it

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?
I bought my dress in July from Bridal Reflections. I have read many posts about the ladies being very nasty. So far (knock on wood) everything has been great. My dress has come in early and I thought the lady who helped me find the dress was very pleasant. I hope the fittings go just as well.
Good luck.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?
I dealt with them for my brother's wedding. They got the job done...I wasn't overly impressed. I've never been a big fan of that place....but they will do the job and the service is decent. I think my biggest issue is that sometimes they come across as 'who they think they are' type a place. that could just be my impression.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?
yes i felt pressured. they made me an offer (20%) and told me it was only good that day. so i took it. thats the way businesses work. they make you great offers so they get your business. if you don't like it, definitely go elsewhere.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?
Thanks so much ladies. I actually met with a woman named Darnell. She was very nice at first, but definitely pressured me. And she was playing with my emotions (I think because she saw that i really loved the gown and she wanted me to buy right there and go no where else). She really did push it. But like some of you have said, it really depends. I think if they were not so rushed and they liked you, they would help you a lot. I just did not click with them.
I really appreciate all of your sharing and advice. The bottom line is, if it doesn't feel right, it isn't! No matter where you are!
The good news is, i went to Bridal Suite in Centereach (see my new post) and they were fabulous!! They had the same dress, and i even got it a little cheaper

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?
I bought my dress there, worked with Kristy and Candace, and my experience was amazing. They were so incredibly patient with me (I flip-flopped between two dresses for quite some time), and were very helpful about getting me the dress for a lower price than it was marked.
Congrats on finding your dress!

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?
I think with every vendor you have to go in prepared they like to play little psychological games, that is what they are trained to do, but if you can see right through them you are in the clear.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?
I didn't get a good vibe when I was there either. I told the saleswoman my price range and the styles I liked. She ended up bringing dresses that were either out of my price range or a style that I didn't care for.
