Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?

Do you need to make an appointment to go try on MOB dresses?

also, can I just go in and look at headpieces? I'm going to be in the area on Saturday, so I figured i'd swing by there and pick something up for my hair trial next week?

TIA

For MOB and BM you can just go in no appointment I'm not sure about headpieces

From all the times I've been there, for my dress and my girls trying on the BMs dress, we had to make an appointment. If I was you, I'd call and make an appointment or at least make sure you can just show up.

I prob will get in trouble for saying this... but I wouldn't even bother there.. I had a big issue with them when I was recently in a bridal party... long story short they messed up my appt twice, sent my dress to Carle Pl. store twice and were really snippy with me as though it was my fault! Also, I heard something abt having to leave a credit card deposit for when u make appts. there so they make sure u show up and if u dont, u get charged like $50! (But that could be just for bridal appts... not sure!)

The first time I went there with my MOH looking for BM dresses I had an appt, we found the attendant to be pretty useless. She barely helped us, and actually left us alone for about 15-20 minutes and when she was with us, she literally kept her arms crossed almost the entire time. I had to ask her to get me some clips so I could clip my MOH dress myself cause it was too big on her. The second time I went, I walked in with my entire BP with no appt. They told us that we could look around and try on whatever we wanted but it maybe a while before someone could help us. We were there for a maximum of 5 minutes before the same attendant who 'helped' us before walked over to us. Once she saw that we were not there to waste her time and she was going to make a sale off my bp (My bms dresses were almost $300 each without alerations) she was much more accomadating and helped us. I find them to be much more friendly and helpful in their special occasions store around the corner.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?

thanks for the feedback ladies!!

My mom wants to go to DB in Mass Park (where I got my dress and BM dresses), but I can not stand that store and their associates! Very rude, unprofessional and they harassed me for 6 WEEKS about my girls picking up their dresses when we were told they can stay in storage until the rhinestones for my jr bm's dress came in (they ordered the dress without it and tried to say that it was extra when I had it clearly marked on the receipt it was already paid for). Nobody communicates with each other, and I was told I had to order the BM dresses 7 months before the wedding, when in fact 5 out of 7 of them came within a week!! It caused so much drama with my girls and I because nobody was able to come to get fitted at the 'deadline' and when the dresses came the next week they all flipped on me for rushing it!!

I had something similar happening to me. The lady that was helping me told me to go through the dresses and pull out the one I'd like to try and then she said she was gonna be right back, she came back after like 10-15 min with only 1 dress while we had already pulled like 6 dresses, then we went to one of the rooms to try them out and the lady wouldn't even try to fasten the corset, she gave me a corset 2 sizes bigger and seriously it was so loose, it didn't even feel like a corset, she then took the one I was holding and threw it on the carpet which was dirty (that totally digusted me because is an intimate clothing and u put it on the filthy carpet???). The lady never gave me attitude I gotta admit, what bothered me was the way the appointment was handled.

Btw, this happened in BR from Carle Place

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?

I called to make an appointment when I was looking for my bridal gown and they asked for a credit card and said i would be charged if i cancelled within 24 hours or if didn't show up. It wasn't even a weekend, it was a wednesday in the middle of the day.

I ended up going to Carle Place, they were nice and never asked for a cc to hold an appointment

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa?

I've been in the Massapequa location a few times for BM dresses (multiple weddings) and each time was fine - the girls we worked with were very helpful.

My gown is also from Massapequa...there was a slight issue when I went to go see it a second/final time to purchase it (it was sent to Carle Place for a ridiculous reason), but I stomped my feet and waited 20 minutes while they had it sent back down immediately. And then they matched price with RK.

thank you!! i thought i was the only one who thought they were absurdly incompetent over there! i was just there last sunday and my 2 sisters ordered their BM dresses so while i was at the counter i asked for a rundown of which girls ordered so far (i already knew i just wanted to make sure the DB files were up to date) and the girl says 'only emily has ordered' so im like 'huh? i dont have an emily in my bridal party, can you check that again?' let me tell you this girl was so annoyed to have to look at the computer 12 inches from her face and so argumentative that she was correct and this phantom 'emily' has ordered her gown - like lady please i think i know the names of my bridesmaids! lol they were also supposed to ship one of my girls dresses to fla where she lives and they gave me attitude that my bridesmaid as never picked up her dress and its been in the mass park store for 2 weeks, umm thats because it was supposed to be shipped to fla! and nice of you to call either the bridesmaid or the bride and let anyone know the damn dress was in!! ugh sorry for the long vent but that place gives me agiata!
