Bridal Reflections Massepequa

I am going there on Sunday to continue my quest for a gown (I'm also going to Wedding Salon in Manhasset on Saturday, so hopefully I'll have some luck this wknd).

However, a girl from work told me nightmare stories of Bridal Reflections and urged me not to go. I hate the thought of having an awful experience wedding dress shopping - it would totally ruin it for me and thats something that should be so special.

Does anyone have any words of advice for me?

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

I too have heard both goods and bads of it. I've been there numerous times, although never for myself. They always seemed curteous while I was there. Just remember that this is a service that you are paying for - if you are not 100% happy they either need to do something to make that happen or you should take your business elsewhere. I think oftentimes we allow ourselves to get bullied by these vendors and in the end, it's our own fault for not pulling the business. Just keep that in mind and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Good luck!

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

So far, I've had a great experience with Bridal Reflections in Massepequa. A woman named Kristy helped me try on dresses, and she was very patient and nice, and didn't rush us at all, plus was very knowledgeable. Even my mom thought she was great, and she's very picky when it comes to sales people. I ordered my dress in August, and its supposed to come in Dec/Jan, so I guess until then and until the fittings i can't tell you entirely what to expect with them. But so far, so good!

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

I went there for my first dress shopping experience and it was great! The saleswoman was patient and friendly. Personally, I wouldn't purchase from them unless I couldn't find the dress anywhere else and even then I'd probably take it to my own seamstress (friend got her gown and BM dresses and had a very poor experience). But some people have rave reviews about the place. I guess it's hit or miss!

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

That is where I got my dress. I had a pretty good experience with them.

The only problem was during the alteration process. But they quickly rectified that.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

BR in Masseqpequa has been great so far.

I loved the woman who helped me pick out the dress and ZiZi the seamstress was awesome. I'm all done with my fittings...I pick it up next Thursday!

I think with just about every vendor there are good and bad experiences. I would go and see how you feel.

Good Luck

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

I went to bridal reflections looking for BM gowns. They asked me what my dress looked like and at the time i hadnt started looking for my dress yet so they told me that i had to have my dress first so that the girls could compliment me. Understanable. So i then asked to look at bridal gowns, she asked how much i wanted to spend and i said under 1000 and she then told me that i couldnt shop at her store b/c her dresses start at 1500. she directed me to try a cheap place like davids bridal, since quote they would have something cheap for someone like me who oculdnt afford nice dresses.

Well I guess you have to appreciate that they don't waste your time if they can't meet your budget. Lillette's in Baldwin had alot of the same dresses for slightly less. I only chose Bridal Reflections b/c they took credit cards

I just ordered my dress from BR last Saturday. I also had Kristy to help me the previous week and she was really nice.
Check it out.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

I had a really great exeprience @ both BR (Massapequa and Carle Place) the gowns are beautiful, they'll show you anything you want -
They are not cheap, but IMO worth the money.
I got my Yolanda Couture gown @ the Carle Place store and they were ALWAYS extremely nice and very professional. - They know what they're doing there. - It's not some 20 year old girl w/o a clue telling you 'oh that looks nice' they actually know what styles will compliment your body type, fabrics, etc. -

Have a great time !! and Good Luck !

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

I went. Took over a week to get a daytime weekday appointment. I'm a teacher and had an 11 am appointment. The attendant was nice but I think I was the only one in the shop. I must admit, they had very few dresses in my price range of under $1500. I found their prices for the same dresses elsewhere to be on the high side.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

nenna023 - I cant believe they were so rude to you. But I think Oct04Bride is right - they didnt want to waste your time or theirs, but there is a nice way of saying things and that certainly isnt too nice IMO!

Thanks ladies for all your advice - I am just excited about searching for THE dress, and I guess I'm a little scared of going and being sorely disappointed by unprofessionalism or rudeness, especially as I'm going on my own. JimmysBride - I just read your review (amazing, by the way! Congratulations!) and it definitely gave me some insight. Thanks!

Re: Bridal Reflections Massepequa

I went there looking and found 'the one' there and I thought the price was fair. The lady who helped me, RoseAnne was very nice and helpful. My dress came in early and I went there to try it on, it looked great. The seamstress even popped her head into the dressing room and I kept her there for like 10 minutes. She was wonderful too.
