Bridal reflections - Massepequa?
I made my first dress appointment there in a few weeks but they asked for a credit card # and advised me if I cancel with less than 24 hours they will charge me a $50 fee.
Please let me know if anyone ever heard of this? It makes me not want to go there? Are other places doing this? Please let me know your thoughts.

Yup! They do that at Kleinfelds too! Just if you can't make it cancel the day before! I said yes to the dress at bridal reflections in Carle Place! Two of my girlfriends said yes in Massapequa! Both great stores just hold different designers

they did it for me. I didn't see a problem with it. If you give the courtesy of cancelling they wont charge you. the woman told me that even if I call like 12 hours before it would be ok. I think its good because then people wont make appointments and skip out on them when other people could use them.

That's totally normal, a lot of places do it now. I'm sure if you had to cancel last minute because of an emergency they'd make an exception. But, I think 24 hours notice isn't much to ask for! I'm going to BF in Massapequa on Saturday. I'll let you know how it goes!

I've been to about 6 salons, and 3 did it. I don't think it's that big of a deal, especially considering the consultant who is assigned to you probably works off commission. I work in a restaurant for tips, and would love to be guaranteed a certain amount if my reservations didnt show up, so I assume it's the same concept.

Got my dress there last time around. Service what great until its time for alterations. The woman who did mine was SO rude. Made inappropriate comments to me and actually was screaming back and forth with my mother in the middle of the store. the front of my dress was CLEARLY about 1 inch longer on one side and she didn't want to hear it. She kept saying 'I've been doing this for over 30 years let me do my job I know what I'm doing' so rude.My BM got their dresses there. My sister picked hers up, tried it on the day before the wedding and it was about 4 inches off the ground. Need less to say I sat in Mass Brid Ref the day before my wedding with my sister for 2 hours while they fixed the dress.

I got my dress from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, and I didn't have to leave any kind of credit card, but I already knew what dress I wanted before I came in so maybe thats why?

I had to leave it for bridal, not for bridesmaids. I don't think it's a big deal if you're making the appointment with the intention of showing up. They just don't want their time wasted.ETA: I got my dress there, and bridesmaids, and both experiences were perfect so far. My bridesmaids were super overwhelming and literally took over the store, they all came at different times and the three girls working were on the ball and amazing. For bridal I worked with Jody and she was SO helpful!

2013er crashing.. I got my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. My alteration process was amazing there-- I had Zizi and she was fantastic- loved her. no complaints about bridal alterations.
for my girls, we had some issues. almost all of their dresses were ordered too large, which they (and I)were not happy about. im not sure if they order them bigger bc then they think they will get more $ in alterations or what.. anyway most of my girls ended up getting their alterations done elsewhere but those who did them there didn't have issues

My friend got her dress at the one in Carle place & she said the alteration process there ******. But I am worried about them ordering the dresses bigger too. Because my cousin fit into the sample (size 12) and thy ordered her a 14.
