Bridal Registry

Hello ladies, this is the FH and im using my FW sign-in..ok I see her on here everyday and I kind of know how this works..so we had this HUGH HUGH disagreement!!!!!!!!!!

someone please help me here..im all down for doing the wedding extra's, so last night we go to Bed,Bath and Beyond to register and we were yelled at by the customer service guy for only having 36 items on our registry..now my FW was afraid to get to many things and she was afraid of getting high priced items because she felt guilty..let me tell you, we were so ripped into and i tried to tell her from the start we should put what we really want on the registry...

so I felt we sold ourselves short but all she could say 'I will go back to change it' now Ithink she feels im coming down on her but im not..

can someone explain to me what is the best thing to do without making her feel bad about the items she picked..

awwwww I know how your FW is feeling ~ when we registered I felt the same way ~ but I had family request some larger items... Some people might chip in with a gift too... I am not a big fan of the registry thing myself kind of feels weird... In the beginning so many people were telling me we have to register...

I wouldnt change the items she chose especially if likes them but you can always go online to and update & add to your registry... I found this article:

Registry Etiquette by Peggy Post

Brides often ask, 'What's the right way to register?' Start by thinking about what items you'll need for your new household. And because your guests may have a wide range of budgets, it's important to register for items in a variety of price ranges. Often decorative pieces like picture frames, vases, candlesticks and accent dishes are beautiful yet relatively inexpensive registry additions.

Whatever you decide, just make sure there are always enough items, in different price ranges, available on your registry. This may mean adding new items to your registry as your wedding approaches. A final suggestion, don't insist that guests shop exclusively from your gift registries. Remember, the gifts they give are their choice. And some presents are carefully chosen surprises that may become the most cherished gifts you receive.

Good Luck!

I was told to put big items on the registry because people (like your bridal party) might chip in and get them for you. Plus, your relatives may surprise you.

yup. i agree. we didn't put too much high priced stuff on there..but i was surprised at how ppl paid some $$ for things like a goose down comforter....or various appliances.

just tell her it's okay to put some nice things on there....she'll be surprised at how many ppl will want to get you both some great stuff! I discovered that at m yshower!
