Bridal registry question
Hi ladies...my fiancé and I already have a house so we have most household items. I was thinking for my shower to do a regular registry at bed bath beyond but then also doing a honeymoon registry thing. I don't know much about the honeymoon registry but I heard you can have people donate to your honeymoon through your travel agent. Is that rude to do though? I need honest opinions!!! Thanks!

Yes! Raymor and Flanagan has a registry where you select furniture that you like and people can add money towards it. But at the end of the day it's money on a gift card not necessarily the furniture you registered for. So it can he used for anything. At the store

We're registering through HoneyFund.com ...we already live together too but we need some stuff so I also did Macys & BBB..HoneyFund is great...we are doing a cruise so we put excursions on there and drink packages. People can then buy it on there and they'll get a print out of what they bought and then give you that with cash or a check. They can also use their credit card but it'll charge them like 2% or something.

Bridal registry question
I personally don't feel comfortable doing that so I decided against a shower. My soon-to-be SIL is doing only honeyfund for her shower so she won't be opening any gifts and some guests have already commented on impersonal they feel it is... No matter what you do someone will always complain.....

I think that having the option of a honeymoon registry is nice (especially for those last minute shoppers) but my opinion is to still have a traditional registry so that the people who want to give you gifts can still get you something. Plus, you'll have things to open at your shower! Also, your shower invitation could include a cute poem like this:
When thinking of a gift for us
We ask if you’d please consider
Contributing to our honeymoon
to make it all the sweeter.
Our house is full of all the things
a couple could require,
and so a holiday away
is what we most desire.
Then while we're relaxing on the beach
or by the pool so blue
we'll sit back and know
that it is truly thanks to you!
