My FI sister is getting married in july and has no clue about bridesmaid dresses, so she asked me to take her to some long island shops. The only problem is, I DON'T KNOW OF ANY . so I need a long long list of bridal shops to visit, with a lot of bridesmaid dresses on display (preferably in nassau county).
Please Help!!!!

Hello there, RK Bridal has a huge selection and also David's Bridal. Their prices are usually more competitive than tha average salon. See if there are locations in LI since I am only aware of the RK in the city and the Davids in LIC. Here are their websites: www.rkbridal.com www.davidbridal.com

I just found great BM dresses at Estelles Dressy Dresses. There is a HUGE selection of dresses there. Just keep in mind it's a serve yourself kind of place. There really isnt anyone to help you as much as they do in bridal shops.

I have also heard great things about Lilette's in Baldwin (on Merrick Road), and I got my bridal and my BM dresses at Lynbrook Bridal on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook. I've had a bad experience at David's Bridal in Carle Place (as have some other brides on the board).

Iman Bridal Couture in Brookville (516) 656-0674. Very nice and gave me a better price than bridal reflections and the cap on alterations is only $45.

I went with my friend on Sunday to look at BM dresses for her wedding at Charisol in Flushing. I know you wanted Long Island, but the prices for the dresses at Charisol's includes alterations. And the prices are pretty reasonable.
I got my dress from Flowerama in Elmont and they have a lot of BM dresses also.

I WOULD SAY GO TO RK BRIDAL IN THE CITY. Its a one stop place. They have almost every designer of bridesmaid dresses there exists. I looked around a lot - mostly online and found that rk bridal carries all of them. I went looking in nassau county and kept running into the annoyance that one shop carries one designer but not another. I found it a lot easier to try on and compare the different styles at one place.

Daivid Bridal is great if you are going with a few girls that aren't all sixe 8's, becasue they have dresses in all size, so even if you don't get the dresses there you are able to see what looks good on each girl, since they can all try it on.
