My sister and I would like to go to a bridal shop or two this Sunday so I am looking for suggestions.
One thing I do not want to do is go to one that rips the tags out of the dresses, that will frustrate me to no end.

Re: Bridal Shops
I don't know if may shops are open on Sundays. You can try Davids.

Re: Bridal Shops
Priscilla of Boston is open on Sunday from 12-5. They are located at 154 Mineola Avenue in Roslyn Heights.
Good Luck, you might want to call them first to let them know you are coming....516-484-2080, and I was there 2 weeks ago, they were having a sample sale, some really nice dresses for great prices.

Re: Bridal Shops
All the Bridal Suites (Patchogue, Bayshore, Commack, etc.) are open Sundays but they rip their tags out.
Paradise Bridal is also open Sundays, but again they rip their tags out.
I know this doesn't help, but it tells you who to avoid.

Re: Bridal Shops
I figured sunday would be difficult but I need to start seriously looking for a dress. I tend to be a bit picky so I know it will be tough for mr to find 'the dress'.

Re: Bridal Shops
I'm trying to remember if Bonaventure in Garden City ripped out the tags? I don't think they do.
I got my gown at Princess Bridals in Farmingdale and I was very happy with the selection, service and staff. I don't think they rip the tags out either.
Lillette's in Baldwin is also very good and highly recommended.

Re: Bridal Shops
I think Bridal Reflrctions is having a big sample sale - I saw an ad in the paper. My family has used them several times and has always been pleased with them. They are extremely helpful and knowledgable. Good luck!!

Re: Bridal Shops
I got my dress at Kleinfeld's. They do rip out the tags but will tell you the designer of every dress. Also, regardless of where you go, bring pictures of what you are looking for. Even if you get a completely different dress, at least the person helping you will be aware of the style you are looking for. Just keep in mind, on your body, the dress looks completely different than it does on the hanger. Try on every dress the person helping you recommends. They know the dresses better than you do and will be able to tell what will look good based on your shape and size. Most brides on here end up getting a dress that they almost didn't try on due to not liking it on the hanger!

Re: Bridal Shops
It's very difficult to avoid the tag-rippers when looking for your gown.... I would suggest Bridal Reflections but again, they might be closed on Sunday. Maybe Macy's? Definitely David's Bridal.
