Is it normal for bridal shops to charge for everything? i thought alterations were included in the cost. evrything is extra, and they don't tell u that until u see the contract. that is crazy!!. Paradise Bridal in patchogue is getting on my last nerves.

Re: Bridal Shops have gone overboard
I actually searched around ,till I found the best price. I wound up getting my dress $200 less then I saw it at another store, and alterations are included and my headpiece a veil.. So I did really good but I searched like 20 stores.. and found this one close to home believe it or not.

Usually alterations are not included if they are in some stores they usually make the price of there gowns a bit higher to absorb the expense.

Alterations usually aren't included. I ordered my dress from Paradise, and I think it was a $75 cap on alterations and $10 for each point on the bustle... so I figure it will be about another $150 on top of the price of the dress.

Hmmm... maybe my mind is blocking out the 1 in the 175.. I will have to go back and look at the contract. I will let you know later.

Alterations are not usually included from what I've seen. My place did post the price before I bought though, so it was clear to me that I would have to pay for this.
