I am going to go shopping for my dress next week, and I would like to know of bridal shops where people had a good experience. I'd rather not go somewhere that i'll be ignored or charged too much for something that shouldn't be. Can everyone give me some names and towns of where they went for their dresses?
I'll also take places of where NOT to go. Thanks!

The only one I went to (so far) was RENATES in Lindenhurst. I went the weekend after I got engaged because I finally could try on dresses! lol It was right in my town and I couldn't help myself. But the experience was very pleasent! ;)

For just shopping I had a great experience at Fantasia in Rocky Point and Paradise Bridal in Patchogue... however Paradise turned into a NIGHTMERE once we placed our order... Fantasia was AWESOME with alterations! (i moved my dress to there)
I COMPLETELY SECOND FANTASIA!!! Linda is a DOLL and they are so helpful and patient. The samples are clean and nice and the girls are knowledgable. They will also match a price (theirs are VERY good though). HTH

Try Bridal suite of Bay Shore too, they have been great so far! Very nice, and easy to deal with.
We had some problems with them...namely we ordered our BM dresses in NOVEMBER for our July wedding, they came in MID JUNE and couldn't explain why! We ordered that early since my sister/BM lived in Germany and I wanted to send her the dress to be altered and then there was no time...In the end it all worked out since we took her dress elsewhere the day before the wedding!!
we also had problems here for my sisters wedding in july

I am using the wedding center and have actually had a great experience. I found my dress at paradise and it was $2000. I did some research found it for $850 on the net. Then I went to the wedding center with the price (b/c i already put 100 down for another dress) The owner confirmed and MATCHED the price and took the 100 off that we already gave. In the end he saved me over 1000 dollars. They are def. the best price around if not anything else. The complainst i have heard about them are usaully service related (again i had no problems) BUT if you do find 'the dress' at a great price order it there and alter it elsewhere.
