I don't know what area you live in but you can try Valentina bridal in brooklyn. They are super sweet . Or, try RK Bridal in Manhattan. They have a large selection of dress styles to choose from.

ITA agree about RK bridal. I worked with Emily and she was great. They have a HUGE selection, prices were great and I tried on sooo many dresses and I found the ONE!!!!

I started out at David's Bridal at Roosevelt Field. Their dresses are very inexpensive and I was able to try on whatever I wanted. In your situation, it might be best because their customer serivice is not great so you can try on many types of dresses and you won't have a bridal consultant breathing down your neck to buy something so she can make a commission.

This is what I was going to say, try David's bridal first just to check out some styles (no one says you have to buy anything there). They're open late on weekdays too and you don't need an appointment. I went at 8pm on a Tuesday and tried on 4 dresses and realized that mermaid/trumpet might be perfect for me! So weird! Anyway, now I can focus my energy at the nicer stores rather than wasting my/their time trying to find a good style.

I got my girls dresses at The Wedding Plaza in Floral Park on Jerich Turnpike. I also bought my dress there, and so did my mom, grandma & aunt. They have a nice selection of BM dresses.

I like Bridal Reflections since they carry higher end such as Lazaro dresses and moderate to lower end. For example, Kleinfeld doesn't carry my Paloma Blanca dress which is around $2,500. Lillettes doesn't carry Lazaro which is generally around $3K-$5K. Bridal Reflections carries both. I found that Bridal Reflections was the most well rounded for choices in dresses and very conveniently located in Massapequa, Carle Place and Manhattan.

True, if you have a designer in mind, call first. The Massapequa store carries more of the Paloma dresses vs. the Carle Place store.

Good Luck

I went to Bridal Reflections Massapequa last night. I called Carle Place to make an appt and they asked my budget. They suggested going to Massapequa because their dresses started at a cheaper price. Nicole helped me at Massapequa and she was great.
