Ok, so my FI's cousin is getting married this July. The bride to be helped plan her own Bridal Shower & to top it all off she is having it on a Thurs. night. Wouldn't you rather have your Bridal shower be a total surprise?

Re: Bridal Shower
I would, but for me I have to know when it is since I am out of state. To make my parents feel better that I am getting married in NY, I promised I would have my shower in Boston. So, my MOH and one BM living in Boston will probably plan it, but since I have to travel to it, I have to know when it is. But in an ideal world, I'd like to be totally surprised.

Re: Bridal Shower
I want to be surprised. I think it's fun to be. Everyone knows that they are getting a shower but I don't want to know when or where.

Re: Bridal Shower
I definitely want to be surprised. I'm pretty easy to fool, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Re: Bridal Shower
I usually HATE surprises - I have too much anxiety. But a shower would be nice as surprise.

Re: Bridal Shower
Definitely not, b/c I found people for at least 2 months (after invites go out) act strange & someone is bound to slip & it just seems like a lot of effort & work to hide a shower that the bride knows she is having (at some point).
For the 5 minutes it takes for everyone to yell surprise, is it really worth it?

Re: Bridal Shower
I told my mother before I was even engaged that when I got married I didn't want anything to do with planning my shower. I've always wanted a surprise party and never had one so this will be a great opportunity to have one! I get so excited, I can't wait even tho it's a year away!
