I think this is more on an individual basis...Nowadays the mother will take care of it but some the bp chip in.
Personally, i feel bad having my bp throwing my shower but this is bc Fh has a very big family, just on his dads side he has 20-something 1st cousins, it will be too much to ask the girls to pay that much money. So itll probably be my mom and not sure about FH's parents if they'll chip in. My MOH will do alot of the planning though

Oh and I am so nosy...3 out of 4 of my BP are OOTers so they dont know places so I am always suggesting places to help out and my one BM said fine, I'll tell you....we booked the Wal-Mart food court at the Massapequa Mall. I have now decided to butt out!

My mom paid for the whole thing. I think it can be done different ways though, sometimes it's the BP, or the BP & Mom, or the BP & Mom & FMIL

in my case i think my mom and MOH are gonna share the cost. the BMs will probably chip in too(i think)
