Bridal Shower

Bridal Shower

Should FH be there or just the ladies?......I was thinking to invite some of my guy friends but I'm not sure if men go to those things. I know FH would not want to be the only guy there.

The reason that I asked is because FH lives in Fl so I'm not sure if he would want to come to NY just for a shower, plus I'm hoping that most of the gifts get shipped to house in FL anyways because I dont want to travel with too many gifts.

You can always do a Jack and jill but then that opens it up to all men who are invited to the wedding and then the size could double.

FH would bring you to the shower and maybe some of your guy friends can come the last 30-45 min to help tansport all the gifts. That way they can at least have desert!

Normally it's all women. FH should be there with you when you arrive, he'll stay for maybe a half hour. Then he should come towards the last half hour to hour and help pack up gifts.

your fh should be there to thank every1 for coming at to 'bring u' to the shower. my male bff is LIVIDDDDDDDDDD that hes not invited. threw a tantrum.. i HOPE he was joking..but im notallowed to speak about the shower anymore with him lol

but yea it should be an all girls thing. once u invite some guys...ALL the guys in ur life will expect an invite..meaning ucles n shyt.

i wouldt..unless u make it a jack n jill

FH shows up at the end at most I've been to. I once had a friend who's FH was there and stayed and opened gifts with her. Everyone was commenting about it. I also am not a fan of the jack and jill shower(guys and gals invited)

Just ladies, unless you wnat a jack and jill one but most guys would complain the whole time and be annoying, Fh should come at least half hr before its over just to load the cars -lol and to say quick thank yous,

My FH is only coming to help with all the gifts at the end. I am not having any men!

Re: Bridal Shower

I think it is mostly a woman thing.....FH can come the last 20 minutes or so to walk around and thank everyone, and to carry all the gifts to the car - you have to put him to work!!!!!

Re: Bridal Shower

ummmm........as mentioned earlier you can have a Jack & Jill shower. I've never been to one. I'm not going to even ask FH if he would like to do this b/c I will get a big H E L L NO!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am sure mine will just be the ladies but am sure FH & my Dad will probably be out golfing while we party!

Mine is going to be all women. Since you're saying he lives in Florida, it probably wouldn't make sense for him to just come for beginning and end. If you make it a jack and jill one, then that would be worth it.

Ok. So I see your dilemma. But it sounds like your problem is that your shower is in NY but you will need your gifts to be in Fl. Since you don't know the size and quantity of the gifts, you don't know for sure how they will get down to FL. Is it possible for him to make the shower weekend a mini-vacation and drive up here? This way, he can load up the car when he goes back down.

Thats a good idea, I will talk it over with him and see what he says. It's a 19hr drive but maybe we can turn it into a mini vaca,,,,,thx
