Does the Bridal shower HAVE to be a surprise? I mentioned to my family members that mine wasn't going to be a surprise because my mother just can't keep a secret at all, and plus my MOH lives in NC so I'll just know when she's traveling b/c she has to stay by me...so it's pointless for me to have a surprise bridal shower. They weren't too happy to hear that I would know about my bridal shower..i'm wondering if bridal showers are a must when it comes to a surprise?

I didn't want mine to be a suprise but my mom did so after like a week my sister(MOH) told me anyway but I just didn't tell my mom I knew!

nah. my last sister wanted to know about her shower and she's doing the same for me. i know i'm getting one, so i see no point in surprises. I'm just not into them though; it's fine for others.

Mine was this past weekend and I knew about it, I wanted to know. Though I had to pretend it was a surprise.

I'm so glad she told me cause they told me I was going to babysit and normally I wear crappy clothes to babysit and I would of looked like a disaster!!

I hear ya! Exactly my feelings. I told them they'd be the ones surprised if they tried to surprise me.

lol--that's what my mom wants me to do. Although I'll know about it, she wants me to pretend it's a surprise nonetheless.I was just concerned that Bridal showers HAD to be a surprise given the dissapointment with my female family members that I knew. I told my bridal party they could make my bachelorette party a surprise.

It's whatever you want it to be. I am having a surprise shower, but with all the things going on right now I have a feeling I will figure out when it is. Maybe your family can try to surprise you and if you figure it out then you figure it out!

lol..I would have liked to have mine as a surprise, but it just isn't possible with my mom and best friend. Not on purpose, but she'll mistakenly leave things around the house or blurt things out w/out realizing i'm around. So I guess i'll just know and help decorate if I can lol

Who is suppose to pay for the bridal shower? My FH and I are paying for most of the wedding.
I'm not sure if i want it a surprise. I'm very weird about these things that I want things done a certain way. I'm such a planner so I'm very confused as to how to approach this stuff. Should I just back off and let them do it and keep my ideas for the people I need to throw the shower for? Help.. I'm turning into a bridezilla

I am weird with surprises. I want to be surprised but I also want to be in the loop. So I think I would want to know when my shower is going to be.

I HATE SURPRISES!!!! But this is actually the one thing I would like to be surprised on.
