Does the Bridal shower HAVE to be a surprise? I mentioned to my family members that mine wasn't going to be a surprise because my mother just can't keep a secret at all, and plus my MOH lives in NC so I'll just know when she's traveling b/c she has to stay by me...so it's pointless for me to have a surprise bridal shower. They weren't too happy to hear that I would know about my bridal shower..i'm wondering if bridal showers are a must when it comes to a surprise?

i wanted it a surprise....but my mom who has no clue what shes doing throughout thisprocess....booked it when i was supposed to be away (and she knew that) so I had to rearrange my plans....and then she told me she booked it at the one restaurant i despise. (its her wedding part 2)

Ya know, I think 'surprise' showers are an East Coast thing...my family down South and out West had never heard of this!
I probably will only want to know the date so I can dress accordingly!

other stuff will be a surprise.
im not a large fan of surprises, so i want to atleast know when it will be.

well mine was originally supposed to be a surprise but i saw the date in my moms calendar March 8 and i told her that i saw so they changed it ... and then my mom slipped once she was saying things about the wedding and so and so adn then shes like march 1 we'll figure some thigns out and im like WHATTTTTTTTTTTTT... she didnt even realize that she slipped and told me. So i know when it is but i dont know where and who is going to come. (only some ppl) but my friend from florida is coming so since i know she'll be staying with me :)

Honestly, I'm okay with the surprise if i don't know the date/time/location.
I am so insane about the activies. I already made a list of acceptable games to be played and gave my mom specific instructions that I don't want the gifts to be opened at the party.
