Bridal shower Do's and Don'ts

Thought this could help us all a little

My sister just emailed me asking me if I have given any thought as to what I would want at my shower or absolutely not want.

I really want to be surprised with everything but I can also see that they would need some guidance.

So what are your bridal shower do's and don'ts....

I already said NO GAMES!

I also said NO games......I said the only exception is Bridal Bingo. That's it.

I said I DO want a wishing well.

Other than that, I don't know anything else.

ETA: then again, I don't really need to give too much input. My BM's know me well enough to know what I like/don't like. And one of my BM's is a party planner

I said NO games too... but i know they are doing them cause my sister gave me a weird look so i told her not to do anything stupid...

I dont want any of the gifts wrapped or wrapped in clear... i dont want to spend hours opening gifts..

and i want it on a saturday and there better be alcohol

and idk, i'm open to anything so no restrictions i guess

no stuffed animals/plates etc that everyone signs that ill prb thrw out.... for fsil's shower i got her a pretty framed painting that goes with her kitchen colors and had all guests sign the back

other than that im all for anything!! i love games (i think it keeps people less bored and amused), silly hats, embarrassing lingerie lol BRING IT ON

i didnt have any requests.

i actually hope they have games though...i think they are cute if you just do like one or 2 and not go over board.

PUNCH

1 - i said no bridal bingo cause i just don't like it, i wanted non-bridal shower like games if they did them

2 - i do not like brunch and all my friends are married and most have kids so i asked that it be a night to give it more of a girls night out feel... i said a cocktail party would be fun, but mom insisted on dinder!

3 - i begged them not to get me that old traditional white wishing well thing cause i don't like them, but use a basket or something... i have made fun wishing wells for the last couple of bridal parties so i think they are trying to copy that!

my only don't was no hat...but that's just me, i don't like things covering my head

and no boys
my mom wanted to invite all boys under the age of 18!

i like the games!
I said I wanted it to be creative
I've been to soo many boring traditional bridal showers
I asked that it have a cohesive theme of some sort

I was all for the games too!!! DH and SIL teamed up and made a video of her asking him questions and him answering them, then they surprised me at the shower and did a version of The Newlywed Game! It was actually really fun. We have it all on video!

my only request was NO underwear or lingerie hanging around. FHs grandmother was at the shower, I didn't want that stuff there. & of course my sister & mom listened to me.

my bridal shower is this weekend ! i'm the one that planned it lol cuz i didn't want family to spend crazy $ on it. so i'm in charge of what's happening and whats not.
my BMs have some games planned which i wanted and we're going to have alcohol lol so hopefully we'll have a good time!

my wedding is pink and I'm slightly obessed with it. I am sure there will be pink somewhere if not EVERYWHERE!
