Bridal shower Do's and Don'ts

Thought this could help us all a little

My sister just emailed me asking me if I have given any thought as to what I would want at my shower or absolutely not want.

I really want to be surprised with everything but I can also see that they would need some guidance.

So what are your bridal shower do's and don'ts....

I already said NO GAMES!

no stuffed animals/plates etc that everyone signs that ill prb thrw out.... for fsil's shower i got her a pretty framed painting that goes with her kitchen colors and had all guests sign the back

other than that im all for anything!! i love games (i think it keeps people less bored and amused), silly hats, embarrassing lingerie lol BRING IT ON

My bparty has never planned a shower before so they are just as clueless as me, I just asked that they dont get me that huge baby shower chair and not to make it cheesy. I love to party and have fun so as long as its fun and tasteful I have no prob. I'm also a Diva so they have to make it Divalicious!

may i suggest doing a SPECIFIC wishing well??

for mine i wrote wishing well : kitchen spices.

i got sooooo much marinades,rubs, spices

u can do a cleaning products wishing well

All I said (so far) was that I wanted it in my backyard. I figured if people got bored watching me open gifts they could get up and go swimming

I won't be having gifts because I'm asking for my guests to mail them to my house in FL so I need things to entertain everyone.

I actually didn't have any requests. My sister and other MOH and BM's know what I like, so didn't even mention it.

I asked for itto be at night, my mom told me no. LOL. I asked for it to be at the house...my dad told me no. BUT, my mom's friend offered her house, which is amazing, so that worked out.

My only other requests...no big white wicker chair.

I'd also prefer they not do a sheet cake. For some reason I think they always look cheap. JMO, dont want to offend anyone.

they ask you questions about FH (they already have his answers). or the questions are how well FH knows you..and if you get a question wrong you have to put a piece of bubblegum in ur mouth.

instead of a wishing well my sister did a 'panty line' for me.. she put a poem in with the invite including my size and i would up getting 56 pairs of undies some people still brought typical wishing well stuff as well.. so i made out both ways

also, we did no games.. just a 'how well do you know the bride and groom' questionnaire and whoever got the most right got prizes

& i did not have a hat.. instead they made my a boquet from all the bows and ribbons

& last but not least.. champagne punch....yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
