what are ideas the bridal party can get the bride as a shower gift? i went to a shower recently and the bridal party bought the bride luggage..any other suggestions??

i saw a really cute present, where every girl in the bp got the bride a charm for a charm bracelet, and they each wrote a page in a leather journal-it was very cute..

Also maybe the bedding. That's always nice for a group to get.

every wedding i have been in, the bridal party has chipped in for a large gift on the registry. For my cousins we bout like 5 or 6 sets of her China. I think for my sisters we got her a vacuum that she wanted...and i dont remember what we did for others (but just wanted to add this was on top of all chipping in for the shower itself)

for my friends shower this past weekend we got her holiday baskets.. which was a big hit!!! cause normally you would not think to buy things to decorate around the house.. she looooved it!!! and we got other stuff too.. also the progression of lingerie on a clothesine was really cute too.. it showed the wedding night .. then the newley wed lingerie.. then down the road.. lol. it was funny.
my cousin (we call her 'the princess') demanded her bridesmaids chip in for her $3,000 MAILBOX!!! yes her mailbox was $3,000!!!! and they all had to help with the shower... well she lived in the house for about 7 or 8 years... but she only used the mailbox for about 3 or 4 of those years...
she had it custom made to match her custom built house.
honestly- i think luggage or an expensive vacuum (dyson) would be great!

for my cousins shower the bridal party purchased what ever they wanted. when i was in a wedding last year, we each had to give $200 towards luggage. there where 9 girls which means her luggage cost $1,800?!?!?! i am still livid over this. & the best part was that the luggage didn't some in on time for the shower so i never even saw it.
i don't think luggage is a good idea. because if you really think about it you are only 2 people so you really only need 2 pieces of luggage not a whole set. plus i noticed with my parents luggage that they have been destroyed with the way the airlines handle to bags.
i think you will be better off getting bedding or all the towels

For my sister's bridal shower... we all chipped in and got her all of her essentials for the kitchen - including all of the utensils and baking goods. We felt like it was the most practical gift cause they were moving in together and didn't have anything. Overall, it cost us about $250, which i thought was sufficient as we also had to pay for the shower.

Wow all these ideas are really cute. For my sisters showers we didn't do stuff like that just got smaller presents....though both bridal parties did not coordinate things very well so maybe that was it? But honestly, I will be happy with the bridesmaids just giving me the party
