i was in borders the other day just looking at wedding books..there was a book on bridal shower dos and donts..one of the donts is ..DONT surprise the bride? why is that?..now im nervous..maybe it shouldnt be a surprise..what if im in a bad mood that day..or what if i dress like a slob not knowing where i am going? do you think i should be prepared? i have to help plan other showers this year too..so what do i do?

Give your BM an outfit a few weeks before hand so she can bring it with her and you can change.. maybe a little quick makeup too. Don't worry about being in a bad mood.. You will perk up when you see all your family and friends and all those pretty gifts!

My shower will be the only surprise I'll have for a long time - my family isn't good at keeping secrets - but I love surprises!!!!

I would semi-plan this out with FH or MOH. I have told both that no matter what they have to make sure that I am dressed nice and makeup done. So they pretty much will come up with some excuse to get me dolled up and out of the house. Maybe that will help for you?

Do you love or hate surprises??? Tell them to plan to bring an outfit that day. This is what we did for my cousin and It worked out great

Mine was a surprise. They planned it and my FH went with me. We were supposedly going to a Birthday Party and we had the card and gift. FH let me walked into the room first and everybody yelled 'Surprise'. Then FH left and I didn't even get a clue when he left the truck in front of the restaurant agreeing that he would park in the back later but we needed to hurry up because the Birthday party person was arriving soon which was supposedly a surprise as well. I fell for it big time. Didn't even have a clue then. I was so glad that I didn't know anything about it. It was a lovely surprise. They can definitely arrange it so you don't have a clue and will be nicely dressed for it as well.
