Bridal Shower Ideas--HELP!

Bridal Shower Ideas--HELP!

My best friend's bridal shower is in a couple of weeks in a restaurant in LI. Her mom and sister are hosting the shower, but they live in MD so it's hard for them to do much. I want to make her shower a little more special than just the ladies sitting around eating and then watching her open gifts.

She already said she doesn't want any games, though. Is there anything I else I can do to jazz things up? I was thinking maybe some flower centerpieces, a picture frame guestbook w/the shower invite and favors. What are some fun favor ideas for 20 people that I can personalize? Any ideas?

TIA!

My friend has done a scrapbook at showers. I'm not exactly sure how it works but tell people to bring a picture of them and the future bride and then place it in the scrapbook and have them decorate it when they get there - get stuff like glitter, stickers, etc for decorating.

Or it might be easier to mail them a piece of paper ahead of time (with 3 holes punched on the sides), so they can decorate it at home, and bring it the day of the shower and place it in a nice decorated binder or album.

Wow I love this idea!!!!!!!!! When my younger sister gets married I am def. doing this!!!!!

I would do a theme and favors that have something to do with what the bride likes. For example, if she likes to cook there are mini-cheese graters (a 'grater' love), heart-shaped measuring spoons, and cups, etc. Centerpieces could be crocks of cooking tools with balloons. Recipes could be brought in by all the guests to make a recipe book....I'm getting carried away but you get the idea...
theknot.com and this website has some really cute favors!!

The guests can all bring a favorite recipe to put in a scrapbook for the bride to be.
