Myself (along with the rest of the bridesmaids) will be hosting our friend's bridal shower. We are doing it in one of the BM's mother's house. (who is also the bride's aunt). How do we word who is hosting it? Do we word it as, hosted by the bridesmaids? The MOH has not been planning it, I have and also the MOB has not offered to contribute. She alluded to it but then never said anything again. Please help! TIA

I'm not really sure how to answer this as I don't think my invites said who was hosting my shower.

at the bottom of the examples it said who was hosting. Do we not need to do this?

Re: Bridal shower invitation wording
I don't think you HAVE to do this unless you WANT to do it.
My shower was planned & put together by my MOH & my daughter(one of my BM). Being I knew $$ were tight for my MOH but I knew she would never take $$ from me I asked DH to see if she needed help & I would give it to him to give to her since my daughter didn't have much $$ so he gave my MOH $$ but wouldnt take it from me because he said I deserved to have a great party!
As far as I know no one else paid anything toward my shower but my MOH isn't the kind of person that would ask anyone to.
ETA: My FSIL was one of BM as well as 2 nieces.

If listing the hosts causes a problem, why not just leave it out?

Re: Bridal shower invitation wording
When I hosted my sister's shower I didn't put anything about the host on the invite. The only thing that may have suggested who was hosting was the name of the person to call with the RSVP (and it wasn't me).

Re: Bridal shower invitation wording
I saw my shower invitation and it has my sister (MOH) and FSIL (BM) as the RSVP phone #'s to cover both sides of the family calling. But the party is being thrown/paid for by my parents, and that's who they put on the invite as 'thrown by'.
