Bridal shower invitations: question
ok, so im having my bridal shower in july a month before the BIG DAY! i decided not to have a bacherlorette party because why go out and party when i can do that anytime i want. i dont need male strippers all over me when im about to tie the knot with the guy i love more than anything. i just never understood that. but anyways, my MOH decided to have my bridal shower be the whole family, females, males, and children. she knows that i want my family involved with everything possible so i think it would be good to have our families mingle and get to know one another before the big day. so we are having the shower at a local park..and we will be BBQ'ing and having water balloons for the kids and that sort of stuff. im just curious what kind of shower invites i should get? should i make my own? buy some? the ones ive seen so far are pink and girly, and i cant find nothing to go with the theme. any suggestions??thnx a bunch!

Re: Bridal shower invitations: question
How about a plain invite that matches your wedding colors - if you can find one?? Have you searched online?

Re: Bridal shower invitations: question
Maybe go to Michael's or AC Moore and pick out pretty ones that you can print on your own computer. Like the type that are supposed to be wedding invitations, but you can just print them out as shower invitations.

Re: Bridal shower invitations: question
We had our engagment party outside at a park. I found invites on-line at themepartiesnmore.comIf you search 'love is in the air' it should come up. It's light blue with clouds. I thought it fit the park theme without being too 'picnic-like'. I got a lot of compliments on them and you can change the workding to whatever you like.
HTH.

Re: Bridal shower invitations: question
I would go the DIY route, but keep it simple. Actually, this is something that your MOH should be doing for you.I think all Bridal Shower invitations that you'll find will be girly, so if you want to buy them go with something more general like a 'Let's Get Together' type of invite.
