Bridal Shower Locations

Can anyone reccommend any locations for a bridal shower? My friend's sister is getting married and she is looking for a place for the bridal shower(either Nassau, Queens, or Westchester) She already checked out River Cafe in Brooklyn. Any other suggestions ladies???

I had my shower at a place called Giardino's. Its on the Queens/Nassau Border. Everyone is still raving about the food. I love it there.

I had mine at the White House in Whitestone. It was great and convenient to Nassau and Westchester.

my friend had her sisters wedding shower, rehearsal dinner, and baby shower at Carasello's in Howard Beach. She said they are really great and everything was wonderful (food, service, the room, price, etc...)

Do you know how many people Giordanos will hold. Its the place on Douglaston Pkwy right of Norhtern, correct? I want to check it out for friends shower.

Donovans in bayside queens

I didnt like the lowlit restaurant, but they will give you one of 2 back rooms which both looked lovely. They were also low priced

thanks for your suggestions ladies....i should have added that she is looking for a place that will hold 80-100 people. she also wants someplace really nice and elegant for the bridal shower (its going to be at night) as her sis is getting married at oheka.

Fran, they have 2 rooms. The larger one holds quite a large amount, I am unsure of how many though. Yes it's on Northern & Douglaston Parkway. I swear the food is awesome and the place itslef and service was wonderful.

You could try Waterzooi or Victory (next door to one another in Garden City) I have seen them close the restaurant if you have 80-100 I bet they would give you the place to yourselves.

What about the polo grill at the Garden City Hotel?

What about la couquille (sp?)
I'm having my engagement party at Stresa - in Manhasset on Northern blvd it is given excellent write ups by zagats. (I hear susan lucci eats there frequently)
La marmite,
L'endroit,
Riverbay - good seafood restaurant I think it is in williston park maybe? It is on Willis Ave
I think the West End Cafe will not hold that many people (but check them out they are given great write ups by zagats and NY Times)
If I think of more I will post them.
