I would send them out july 26th. 4 weeks prior. JMO!!

6 weeks before is usually standard... Especially over the summer when many people travel.

I would do 6-8 weeks before because you need time for the final RSVP's to come in and give a final headcount.

That's the date of my shower I think my mom is planning to send them out 6 weeks prior. Yes, I know too much about my shower.

I'd say 4 weeks prior.
6 weeks is better if you can do it, but I think 4 weeks should be fine. Any less than 4 weeks and you run into the issue of people not having enough notice, having plans already, etc etc.

I'd have to agree about 6 weeks seems like the norm.
