I'm pretty much planning my shower but my mom is paying for it. We are not doing a bridal party so I don't have any bridesmaids.
Does anyone have to make a speech at my shower? My mom and sister both are shy and would absolutely HATE the attention. Not to mention I would get all embarrassed and I would NOT cry at all. It's just not my thing.. I feel like I would be expected to start crying or something. And I don't want to give a speech either.
Am I expected to? Is it wierd if I just go around greeting everyone (I'm only inviting 29 people).
TIA

I don't think you have to give a speech. I don't remember anyone giving speeches at any showers I've been to. As long as you go up to everyone individually to thank them, I think that's totally fine.

Re: Bridal Shower Question...
I'm planning and paying for my own showers and like you I'm not having a BP. I will greet everyone and thank them. It will be more personal. so you are not alone.
