Some brides likes to have it some months in advance...

Mine was kind of early 3 months before because anything later people were going away my mom said..but I think typically 2 months

my wedding is 7/9 my girls had my shower 3/19 so it was 3 1/2 months

I have read that any time within 6 months is ok
Mine was 4 months before due to scheduling issues

Mine 2 months before- I think 2-4 months before is what most people do.

It's usually anywhere from 2-3 months before. Mine was on Jan 30th for my May 7th wedding.

The earliest shower I've ever been to was 5 months before. Personally, I wouldn't make it less than 2 months before but that's just my preference....the shower is a major event and the bride needs time to breathe!
But I think in some parts of the country, the shower happens right before the wedding, like weeks before, so I guess its just preference and convenience.
If I was planning a shower I'd shoot for no more than 6 months in advance and no less than 2.

ideally, it would be at least 2 months before the wedding, however, mine will be 1 month and 1 week before the wedding. i was very upset about it.

I had mine recently, so it was about 7months out. It was just easier for them with my sister in school to do it this early, plus the earlier it was gave ample time between the shower gifts and wedding gifts.
Mine was atypical, but typically its about 3 months prior

Mine was 4/3 and wedding is 5/28. I felt like it was perfect timing for me. I would say 6-10 weeks before is the standard but they can really be whenever.. We had my cousins shower in Nov a few yrs back and her wedding was in March.. her mom didn't want to interfere with the holidays.. I would probably base it on storage space.. If you have limited space having the shower closer to the wedding might help.. If you've already moved in together and need the essentials, maybe you should have it earlier

i feel like the ideal time is about 2 months before. mine was a little over a month before.
it really depends on schedules, and if you have important people who are out of town. it could be anytime!
