Got a question: How long before the wedding does the bridal shower usually take place? i have no idea when mine is, i think my MOH & FMIL are keeping it a big surprise. which is so sweet... but how will i know when to look my best???????????

usually they are a few weeks to a month before. mines definitely earlier though, mines the last weekend in august becuase my mom and sister are both teachers and wanted to do the shower before school started back up.
i think it depends on whose throwing it. i've seen some that were very close to the wedding date and others that were months ahead of time. hopefully someone will give you a sly wink like 'hey maybe dont wear jeans today '

Mine was 3 months before. Usually they are a little closer to the wedding buy my mom did it earlier to throw me off, plus I had plenty of time to get all my gifts put away before the wedding

i was thinking the last weekend in august would seem about right. im so nervous & excited. i kinda wish i knew about it but it's nice to be surprised. I asked FH last night when it was and he started cracking up. too funny! MEN!

I just found out this weekend that mine will be a month before the wedding. I know they wanted to do it a little sooner, but it just couldn't work out. Its no big deal for me because FH and I already live together so its not like we 'need' things to set up our household.

What I am doing to make sure I don't look like a hot mess (which I got from other girls on here) is I am getting whatever I am wearing for that day, and leaving it with my mom that way I have something to change into at least. lol

My FMIL just graduated with her 30 and above for teaching, I thought we were going out for a congratulatory brunch.

my MOH asked me to give her a dress i would like to wear, so she'll have it there. i'll probably get there in regular clothes be surprised and then fix myself lol

Mine was June 18th, about 2 months out from the wedding and my bacj is 1 month out.

Mine was 2 months before. Just make sure your hair and makeup are done every weekend! Or give your Mom or MOH an outfit and some make up so you can do a quick job of it.

Mine was 4 months before because my mom wanted me to be surprised. I definitely was! She kept telling me it was going to be in June, turned out it was in April.
