BRIDAL SHOWER QUESTION???

ARE THE BRIDESMAIDS SUPPOSED TO HELP THE MAID OF HONOR PAYING OR IN ANY WAY WITH THE SHOWER? AND ALSO, ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO BE ASKED OR OFFER TO HELP???

Re: BRIDAL SHOWER QUESTION???

In every wedding I've been in it was just understood that the bridesmaids would all split the cost of the shower and help with organizing Sometimes there are special circumstances like the MOH wants to do it as a 'gift' to the bride (in this situation it was done in her house) or one of the bridesmaids can't afford it so she contributes less or she lives out of state and won't be able to come or help plan it, etc....

IMO - the bridesmaids should help out - or at least offer to, if the MOH declines their help that is up to her, but it would be rude not to offer

I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE MY BRIDESMAIDS. THEY DON'T EVEN OFFER TO HELP MY SISTER AT ALL.

Did she ask for help? Maybe they are afraid of stepping on her toes with planning?

If you know about the shower - can you speak to your bridesmaids? Or can you talk to your sister and give her thier numbers so she can enlist their help...they may not know what to do if it is their first time as a BM. I think they might need a little help.
I was reading in a book that the MOH can make a newsletter sort of thing for the BMs and send it out to them. Maybe she could do that as sort of an alert to them that they need to get involved.
