Bridal Shower Question/Poll

Bridal Shower Question/Poll

Hi.

For those that have had or are very much in the loop with their bridal shower, can you tell me how many people you had or planning to have?

Secondly would you have considered a co-ed Jack & Jill shower?

Fh threw this idea out. I am somewhat undecided. I am thinking I do not want too big of an affair maybe 25-30 ppl the most, but if I include his male friends that number could double.

I know it means more presents, but not sure if I want that many ppl.

Re: Bridal Shower Question/Poll

My invitation list had about 30 people + about 8 BP members.

I would NOT consider the Jack and Jill, because I want it to be all about ME

Hi,

I am not completely involved with my shower, but I was in charge of getting a list together... my list is about 70ppl... Which my MOH was not prepared for... we are in the middle of trying to cut it down... I also, did not want a huge bridal shower... but it's tough to cut.

As for the Jack/Jill party... I think it's a cute concept, never been to one, so I can comment on how it is...

Good luck!

Hi!!

I don't know where or when it is or alot of details, but have had input..

I'm having approx. 60-70 people.. (we are still in the process of finalizing the guestlist)

I totally did NOT want a Jack and Jill, call me old fashioned but I've always felt that way..

Thanks ladies, I am kind of old fashioned at heart as well. I feel as though the men would be bored.

I guess because we have both been going to co-ed baby showers he thinks this is a trend now.

We invited about 50ish and had about 30ish attend my shower. I never wanted a Jack&Jill shower. I like an all girl shower and my DH didn't want to spend the day opening china and saying 'That is soo pretty' anyway.

Mine is an all girl shower and there were 53 invited and I will probably have about 30 actually come to the shower.

My bridal shower list is about 50 people. I do not like the idea of a Jack and Jill shower. Find me one guy who enjoys opening towels and kitchen stuff and I'm be amazed!! I wanted it to be a nice women's-bonding thing.

I know all about the shower - there will be 33 people there, including myself.

Regards the J&J - I thought about it and since I hate showers anyway, I figured why put him through it?

We are also having the shower at night, not that that should make a huge difference, but I hope it takes the 'showerness' out of it

About 30 people at my shower. I questioned FH about going coed but the wedding would of been off if I forced him to sit through one.

The shower will be for me. I am the bride, right? I don't know when it is or how many are invited. When, and if , a baby comes, I would definitely consider a Jack and Jill. It's his baby too, right?

I think ther are about 50 people on my guest list and probably about 40 will come.

I didn't even consider having a Jack and Jill shower. I think showers are more of a girl thing and most guys would be bored.

Re: Bridal Shower Question/Poll

I have no idea how many people will be invited to my shower but I hope to keep it around 40 max. I have the 5 girls in my bp who will be throwing it so it shouldn't hurt that bad...except that my MOH has to deal w/ my mom and thats a big job by itself!

But there is NO WAY FH would go to a shower...he'd rather stick needles in his eyes than sit around with a bunch of women talking about weddings/babies!!

Re: Bridal Shower Question/Poll

I had 42 people, I tried to keep it small.

I was so thrilled when my dad was there to take pics and him & my FH stayed and ate & had some drinks at the bar and kept coming in to the room to see what was going on.
I loved it!!!

I would like to keep mine small as well. Just close friends and family.

I am sure I will get another one at the job.

Re: Bridal Shower Question/Poll

I've asked my Mom to make it more of a cocktail party than a shower so it's going to be co-ed. We registered for our honeymoon instead of housewares (we've been living together for sometime and either don't need it or don't have space for it) so we really won't have actual presents to open. We haven't really gotten into where to cut the guest list, looks like it's going to be tricky adding the guys in could shoot the number through the roof.

Cippy,

I think my FH is looking to make it more into a party than your typical shower.

Re: Bridal Shower Question/Poll

I think about 50 were invited to mine and 35 came. FI and I were invited to a jack and jill - he thought it was a horrible idea and refused to go.
