Bridal Shower Question/Poll

Re: Bridal Shower Question/Poll

I gave my MOH a shower guest list with about 40 people on it...

We once got a coed shower invite - my FH flat out REFUSED to go...so I can't imagine there are many guys who would enjoy that kind of thing.

Paul would never go, and I think that goes for his friends also.

I like the idea of all women still

I've never had a 'great time' at any shower... (many of you, I'm sure, have had the same experience also), so I think it's a great idea to mix it up a bit. Tip: don't spend forty years opening up those gifts -- move it along and maybe people won't be as bored: male or female!! :)

I know for a fact the when my bridal shower comes around it will be co-ed. I don't know if it's a hispanic thing, but men tend to show up, even if the invitation says women only. Usually what happens is that the women meet in the beginning and then men show up later for dancing. That's how my aunt did it for her FSIL. It turned out to be great. The only same sex party was the bach. party, and with one man (the stripper).

My FSIL had a jack and jill shower. The had a backyard barbeque with a tent and games. It was the most fun shower I ever went to!

My FI is actually in to the idea of a Jack and Jill shower because we didn't have an engagement party (we wanted one) - and I think he wants us to celebrate together. I don't think we are going to do it though because I don't think it would be fair to put that financially on my BP and Mom since they ( I assume) will be paying for the shower.

Jack and Jill party sounds cute but I have to agree that I want it to be all about me, and I think my maid of honor might have a difficult time trying to do activities that will please the men

I invited about 55 people to my bridal shower and I think about 45 were there. It was not really a Jack and Jill shower but FH and his brother were outside of the restaurant and in another restaurant right next door the whole time but I do think a Jack and Jill shower can be a great idea. it is completely up to you and how you feel about it and if whomever is throwing the shower for you can afford the extra people.. But I do think it is a cool idea.
