Bridal Shower questions?

Hey ladies, a friend of mine is getting married in August and I'm throwing a shower for her. She's already had one shower thrown by her parents' friends, so we won't be inviting the same people, but I was wondering if anyone has a clue about:

How many people do you normally invite to the bridal shower? Should I invite everyone she knows, or close friends? I have no clue!

Anyone suggest any good games to play at the shower?

Thanks!

Re: Bridal Shower questions?

I think it depends on the size of the wedding. Some people feel that almost all females attending the wedding should be invited.... IMO, I would say all direct family and friends. If she has already had a 'family shower' then I would go with close friends, female work friends (if they are close), girlfriends of close guy friends type of thing....etc,...

As far as games...theres is the ever so popular Bridal Bingo- Really easy to make yourself on an Excel spreadsheet. You just make the bingo board putting the brides name across the heading and in the free space and make the cells on excel perfect squares. You hand out the blank boards before the bride opens the gift and have all the guests fill it in with what they think she will get (specifics are usually needed if the crowd is large). As the gifts are open, the guests mark off their board...first person to fill in a row screams BINGO!! Pretty basic

Theres also the game where you pick about 20 wedding related words and scramble them up..... first person to unscramble all of the words wins!

Re: Bridal Shower questions?

An easy game is to set a kitchen timer and every time it goes off whosoever gift the bride is opening gets a prize. You could do $1.00 scratch-offs as prizes.
