The invites went out about a month(-ish) ago.... but now that we are creeping up on the RSVP by date, there are a ton of people who haven't responded yet. It amazes me that a bunch of people who RSVPed to the wedding already haven't been able to contact my MOH or my Mother about the shower in time. A lot of items on our registry have been purchased, so that's a positive sign... but it's so frustrating that people can't call in time to say yes or no....

My mom said the same thing - she was surprised that more people didn't just send over an email to my bridesmaid. I mean you have a phone # and an email. And the best is FMIL telling my mom 'I think so and so is coming...' Well you need to be sure they are coming!!
I told my mom do NOT be shy about calling FMIL and bothering her if her relatives did not RSVP lol.

FSIL recommended putting 'call or text' on a small party we are having - NWR. I've also seen 'email RSVP' . I guess some people are uncomfortable calling?

Oh please if you don't RSVP to the wedding & you think that's ok & there will be a place for you? Nope! You will be embarrassed bc there will be no place card for you and a make shift seat. Ugh!
It just amazes me that people were able to RSVP to the wedding 2 months from now (with my RSVP date a whole month away) & yet you can't for the bridal shower!! So dumb! Ohhhh AND telling me in passing means nothing.... Call the people hosting the shower! Instead now we are all having to hunt you down

i totally understand your frustation :( like hellooo people spend so much time and money and energy planning these events and you cant even call to say if youre coming?? ugh! lol

See, I'm making a mental note of the people that haven't RSVPed/Waited until the last minute & I'm totally giving them a taste of their own medicine one day! Yes, I'm spiteful!
After tracking people down all weekend.... we are waiting on ONE person (technically 2, but I know the 1 will definitely not come because she is flakey like that), whom we did call, but she hasn't gotten back to us. I feel like if you can't RSVP in time, then you're automatically out haha
Girlllllll, I went through the EXACT same thing a few weeks ago for my FSIL's bridal shower (which happened this weekend). I went NUTS trying to hunt people down because we had to give a final head count and NAMES to the place we were having it at.
For her bachelorette party, I was having the same problem with people not responding, so I finally put out one last message that if you don't respond by a certain date, I'm putting you down as a NO because I shouldn't have to hunt you down for two weeks straight.
