bridal shower- surprise?

i just got back from a bridal shower which got me thinking to this question...

would you want to be surprised for your bridal shower? why or why not?

Yes I want to be surprised, I love surprises and never have had a surprise birthday party or anything.

However, I don't think I will be surprised. I am sure my mom or my sister will spill the beans, they have big mouths!

yeah, but hopefully it turns out the way I want...lol that sounds so bridezilla. I trust my moh and mom to put together a nice event.

it would be nice to be surprised but I will probably find out from someone since FMIL has a big yapper and so does my mom and sister.

I really really hope that I am totally suprised for my shower. Granted you'll be wondering if today is the day for your shower esp. when it gets closer to our weddings, but I love suprises and hope that nobody leaks a word!!

My sister was sort of surprised for hers.. she lives in georgia but had her wedding up here.. so she kind of figured it would have to be one of the weekends she was coming to ny! lol

I don't know what my MOH (sister) and mom are going to plan.. I'm all about surprises, but I wouldn't mind it either way

I know I should be surprised but I hate surprises! They make me nervous. I would like to have an idea of when it is but my friends/family will probably not want me to know.

well, considering my work situation, ther's no way it could be surprise cause I'd have to tell work to give me off that day...

I would love to be surprised, but knowing my mother she would spill the beans

She is the worst in keeping secrets. I am surprised she didn't tell me that FH was proposing...I think she had the most restraint she has ever shown in her life. She is the type of person who will tell you the end of a movie you have been dying to see, even though you plead her not to.

me too!!!

But i'll probably know because my job will need to be invovled somehow cuz they gotta give me that sat or sunday off from work. So i'm not working it'll raise a red flag.

I hope that they will surprise me. I definitely wouldn't want to know when it was gonna happen. It would take away from the fun of the whole wedding preparation and theme. Sounds silly right?

For my friends bridal shower it was perfect timing cuz she went to her hair and makeup trail earlier in the day so she looked great!

I'll probably also find out because someone will tell me to dress nice and not just throw on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. yeah, that'll def give it away lol.

I already know that its not going to be a surprise because my mom has started asking me when i want it, where i want it, and if i want a theme. So there's no way she would be able to keep it from me-she's not good at secrets

i dont think they are ever really a surprise. you know its coming a few months before your wedding so if you're going somewhere that you dont normally go you kinda know its your shower

Either way it wouldn't matter...But I'm sure I'd like to have some say on games, favors, and decorations.

I want NOTHING to do with my shower, because I feel like I already have so much to do. That being said, my MOH (my twin sister) is TERRIBLE at keeping secrets. I know that one day she is just going to say 'OK, get dressed and look cute, we're off to your shower.'
