So my SIL is asking me what I want as my theme and all I know is that I want a brunch theme with breakfast foods and MIMOSAS.... how would you decorate that or should she just use my wedding colors?! (Keep in mind I will be having another shower 1 month before this one and I'm sure it will also include my colors) I am confused and I don't want cheesy 'casino theme' or 'luau theme' for the decorations.
Need your suggestions on this one.

Where are you having your shower? Knowing you, you should have a Philip Rivers/SD Chargers theme!!!! I think I'm going to have a Yankees theme shower esp since the shower is going to be in September in the midst of the race to the playoffs!

Sireeda - the one I am asking about will be in SD. (I am having another in NY)..lol I love my Chargers but I don't want people to think I'm cheesy especially because i loveeeeeeeeeeeee Philip Rivers and this is supposed to be about me loving FH...

You can incorporate famous love pics, like the one of the soldier kissing the lady, etc into the theme. Or pictures that you have personally taken.
I love photography too and I would research online to death to see what's available...

i think the theme should be about who you are and what you love..
i went to school for culinary and i love to bake and do it all the time so my theme is going to be a cupcake theme!

i did the same thing, mine was a pajama theme everyone LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVED IT
we had it at my FSIL house
look at my album and you'll see pictures
i had several people say it was the best shower they had ever been too, everyone was so comfy and coy

we had throw pillows and gave out nail polish and 'spa' items
you can make it really girlish and frilly
have posters of hollywood hunks like from teen beat LOL
idk... i loved my PJ theme
we served breakfast food and had mimosa too

I just had a very simple brunch Shower and everyone loved it!
We did very few decorations...my mom sprinkled shamrocks for luck on the table, the restaurant printed special brunch menus that said 'Showers of Happiness Ali' on the top, and that was it!
With all the mimosas, noone missed the silly decorations!

My sister went to a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme and I thought that was really cute!!!! they used the tiffany blue color and had brunch... played games and gave out favors that kind of went along with the movie. Very cute idea!!
I have always loved the tea party theme... or a garden theme...
For my sister's shower we did a wine theme... everyone brought a bottle of wine for them to take home and the venue had a 'wine cellar' room. we gave out wine glasses with charms and chocolate as favors.

my shower is going to be 'Kentucky Derby' themed because we are having it the weekend of the Kentucky Derby.
We are encouraging guests to wear big fancy hats and having derby drinks and tea sandwiches etc.
