i found out about my baby shower..and i really wanted my bridal shower to be a surprise but now that im not living in NY i know it has to be the weekend of Turkey Day! if its not...then id be totally shocked!!

I don't want to be surprised.. Bc I will end up looking like a dirtbag.. in sweats a ponytail and no makeup and that's just not fair

Well, I WANTED to be surprised but I know mine is Saturday. You should do a spinoff poll of 'Who was ACTUALLY surprised' because I think SOMEONE always winds up slipping!

I wanted my shower to be a surprise, but several people ruined it.
What nobody knew was that it was a Godsend b/c once everyone knew that i knew, about 12 of the guests told me they couldnt come.
It was the last saturday in august and a lot of people with kids go away before school starts.
Anyway, my shower is now on sept 10th at a completely different place and no surprises![]()

I really want it to be a surprise... but that will be completely impossible. Nobody can EVER manage a surprise for me.
Cases in point:
19th birthday party... my surprise was ruined when my mother sent me a birthday care package at school and wrote 'Enjoy your surprise party' in the card.
Baby shower... My sister told me when and where and then begged me to 'pretend' to be shocked. Kind of difficult when the sign outside the catering hall says 'Good Luck New Mommy Jeannie' and my nieces and nephews are loitering around.
35th birthday... my best friend invites me to her house to celebrate another friends birthday. I know they aren't having a party for him and not me when we are born 2 days apart.
I know someone will tell me... or I will figure it out. I mean.. Rob and I don't go out to dinner often or really do anything much since we have 2 kids. Unless they do it in my house when I am out grocery shopping.. I won't be surprised!
