I ordered my dress from BS at Bay Shore and I worked with Mary Ellen. She was amazing to work with.
I went back with 6 of my bridesmaids to look at bridesmaid dresses. Unfortunately the weekend that I had to go (I had a bridesmaid in from California) Mary Ellen was on vacation and I worked with Annie. I was not happy with her service that day. We picked out the dress but were not ordering them that day because 2 of my bridesmaids were very pregnant so we were going to order them in the summer. I had her measure the rest of the girls. She wanted us to put 60% down and then have the other girls get measured in the summer. I told her that we were not putting anything down until we were ordering the dress. She then proceeded to say I wish you would have told me because I would not have measured everyone.... Really!!!!
Well I was pissed but I really wanted to have the dresses at the same place as my dress (and I got a good price) so that my sister and I (and other bridesmaids could go together for fittings).
Well on Saturday I went with one of the BM who was pregnant to get measured. This time I was working with Mary Ellen again. Well guess what.... The paper with all the measurements (which was suppose to be in my folder) was not there. Mary Ellen is going to look around for it. But I am PISSED!!!!! I really have a feeling that Annie misplaced it because she was mad that we did not put the order in then and she was afraid that she would not get the commission.
Mary Ellen is going to call me this week. They better find the sheet!

im sorry! what an FinB ! i hate people who do stuff like that .. being spiteful .. !! hopefully they will find it .. i wouldnt hold my breath tho =\ good luck !!

I'm with you Mara. I doubt it was accidentally misplaced. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they happen to find it though!

I am not getting my hopes up that they find it. Luckily all of my bridesmaids are pretty much the same size and everyone was either a 6 or a 4. Hopefully they will all remember which one was the one that they were!
I told them that they have to write on my file that I will never deal with Annie and that I will only deal with Mary Ellen!
Mary Ellen was so nice about it. You can tell that she was steaming when I told her what I thought happened!

wow that's soo annoying. I really hope they 'find' it for you!!
And good thing you found someone great to deal with over there and can totally avoid working with the other one!

I am seriously considering it but I can not get over wanting to be able to go to appointments together with my sister (and other bridesmaids). I live in Huntington and my sister is in Long Island City and I want to make things easy for them. I do not want her to have to come out for my fittings (she already told me she wants to be there) and then have to also come out to get her fittings done.

you could always order them elsewhere and coordinate your fittings with the BM fittings. Let's say you got it in Babylon or Commack, the drive from Bay Shore is like 15 mins tops!

If you love Mary Ellen I would just stick with her. It's a shame you had to work with someone like the other girl but from reviews on here it seems most places have their share of good and bad.

That is why I am stuggling. I am pissed about the sheet but I really love Mary Ellen. I can go to another place and get someone and they may not be as helpful!
I am waiting to see what they say this week before I make any decisions.

What a humongous B! I really hope they find that sheet. As long as you have a good relationship with one of the sales people then just deal with them. If you ever see Annie while you are there just give her some dirty looks.

I had same issues I worked with Mary Ellen cause shes a family friend since I was a kid and everything went smoothly...we all ordered our dresses etc.
Went there for my first dress fitting last week and it was He77!!!! Cause MAry Ellen was out

Wow!!! I am soo sorry to hear about your trouble there. I was there a few weeks ago and I think I worked with Amy and she was really sweet, but this makes me nervous since I found a bridal gown there that I really like...
