How has your experience been with the Bridal Suite of Bayshore?

Re: Bridal Suite of Bayshore

I got my dress from there. My experience has been okay. The people that have helped me have been nice. THe one thing I really didnt like was when I went for my first fitting I had to wait 45 mins because the seamstress was with 2 other people. They shouldnt have made my appt. if they were too busy. I go again tomorrow so hopefully it will be better.

That is my only complaint. I have been happy thus far. We will see what tomorrow brings.

I just ordered my dress in April and they were great when I was trying on. We shall see what happens when my dress comes in. Mary Ellen helped me. She was so sweet.

I think they're *wonderful* and I've heard nothing but good things from other brides. They were so sweet and patient while I tried on every dress in the store :)

Re: Bridal Suite of Bayshore

I've been there previously as a bridesmaid & had nothing but good experiences, so I went there for my gown & all of my girls dresses. Mary Ellen was excellent when I went there for myself and the girls that were there when I went in the evening with my sis-in-law were sweet as well...

However, there is one daytime manager there who has been nothing but HORRIBLE to me & my girls...She made one of them cry & the other one so mad that she called me up screaming twice & when I called the BS to try and straighten things out (in a really nice & objective way since I wasn't with my girls & only had one side of the story) she was snide & just plain nasty to me. She lied about the situations, lied about what she was going to do & then lied to my 1 friend on the phone not 2 min. later, telling her that she had told me something and that I WAS LYING TO MY FRIEND. She also has lied to me about when the dresses were being ordered (telling me that they had been ordered when they hadn't) & a handful of other things, She is just plain horrible. I really hate to badmouth anyone, but she has caused me so much grief, stress & aggravation that I'm considering bringing all of our dresses elsewhere to have them altered...which I hate to do since everyone else there has been so nice.

I know that everyone's experience with places is different, so I don't want to say don't go there. The rest of their staff seems awesome...I just want you to be aware of what happened when you do so that you can make an informed decision. Anyways, please FM me if you have any questions & good luck!

I agree! Mary Ellen helped me as well! I ordered my dress in March.

I also ordered my senior prom dress there as well and had a great experience!

I ordered my dress, my moms dress and BM's dresses. So far ok. We'll see when it comes to the fitting.

I had a great experience trying on dresses. The above mentioned Mary Ellen was very helpful and sweet. When it came time to buy the dress, she became a lot less nice, and was actually rude to me at one point. I have heard negative things about their alterations department however, and I will not be getting my dress altered by them.

Also, the accessories there are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced!! When I got my stuff I figured it would be easier to just buy everything all at once with the dress on...(especially my veil, since my dress is ivory) and I was worried about having to match everything.

They also told me (at the time I bought my dress) that since I got my dress there that they would give a 10% discount on BM dresses. Well that changed as soon as I went back to order their dresses. They told me that if they give a discount it depended on the number of girls in the BP. They ended up giving me a discount, but it wasn't 10% and they wanted $10 more for the same dress as Bridal Suite of Centereach (I know they aren't affiliated) so when I asked them to price-match they only gave a small discount.

Read MJDOC's review as well...she got her dress there and you can read about her experience

I went there to look for dresses. The sales girl who helped me was a sweetheart and they had a nice selection of dresses. Absolutely no complaints.

What made me not order my dress there was not so much my experience but my witnessing the experience of another bride. Her dress came in too short. Seriously, it was like 5 inches off of the floor without her having shoes on. The bride was calm (well trying to be) and trying to figure out what to do. The seamstress was a raging b!tch and I can NOT believe that the owner is okay with this woman speaking to her clients like that. She was unapologetic, condescending and downright rude. I asked the sales girl about her and she said she was their main seamstress. I said 'no thanks' and left.

I tried on my dress there but felt that they were really over priced. So I went to another store and got it for hundreds less.
