I tried on about 5 gowns at Bayshore and found the ONE, which shocked me. It is harder being plus sized but there are options.

Go to Village Bridal. They are all mixed into the racks there, but they did have at least 5-10 gowns over size 16 to try. Most were Venus, but I did try a Maggie and a few other designers as well.

If you dont mine picking through a crowded rack in a way too crowded store, Wedding Center in Commack had a few plus gowns. I tried an Allure that could have worked had I not fallen in love in Bayshore.

I agree! had a great experience with Village Bridal!

I worked with Tamy and she was wonderful!

I had some luck at Village Bridal. They had a decent size plus selection and the sales consultant was super nice and very laid back.

I just went here today and thought their dresses were gorgeous! I had Annie also and she was great with me! she even suggested I come back and try the dresses on again because I couldnt decide between the two.

Well I just got back. Guess who helped me????? Annie. She was ok but I didn't find one single dress that I loved. It's not easy being a plus size bride. There were not that many to choose from and I felt like they all looked the same. I feel like I did better at David's Bridal. So can anyone suggest any other place that have a lot of plus size dresses.

Oh wow, me and you are going to be FAST friends I am in your boat ...and guess what, I went to Bay Shore and met with Annie! She kept bringing out size 8's for me to try on. She was not helpful or listening to me at all...and she was way to flighty for me. I just went to Angel Bridals in E. Islip and met with Rosemary, the owner I believe, and she was GREAT! Definitely give them a try, they had plenty of dresses for you to try on that will fit. I am proof of that ...and I think I found my dress there! It's between two now - I just have to go back with my mom. They were both Venus dresses... very pretty line. FM me for more info if you'd like!
