Bridal Suite Patchogue
The entire time I have been on this board I have been recommending Bridal Suite in Patchogue. Well after my experiences during my last few visits with them I have changed my mind. They have been in business for a very long time (over 30 years)and always had an excellent reputation. This is why I dealt with them for my wedding. I won`t be overly specific except to say that I was overcharged for my maid of honor`s dress (my daughter)by $65.00. Had I not checked my receipt carefully I would never have known. The alterations that were done on my daughter`s dress were very badly done with the beading falling off on the shoulders. There were several other issues as well. The last straw came for me last night when I was made to wait for over an hour for my final fitting, only to discover that they had not hemmed my lining or the netting under the dress. This was supposed to have been done. I also found a large shoe print on the back of my dress that was not there the last time I had it on. Needless to say I was not happy. On top of that while I was waiting, another bridal party came in to pick up their dresses for a Saturday wedding and none of them were finished. This is not the first time this has happened while I have been there. It really seems that they do not have a well organized operation. I had to call them repeatedly to get a pair of gloves that they were dying for my daughter. I am really disappointed. If you have already ordered through them, make sure you keep on top of them about everything. They are certainly not the business they used to be.

I am very unhappy with them too...
My dress was fine with alterations although last night when I was there they had to take the boobs in again (not a big deal, I would like smaller boobs anyhow!). However, my mom had problems. She got a dress that was the last one and discontinued from the and it was a few sizes too big so they had to pretty much remake the dress. Well, they took one side in too much down by the knee and kept the other side straight. The woman kept saying it was supposed to be a mermaid style but then why was only one side done that way?? Then she has a very small chest and the dress has pads in it. One pad was just floating in her lining down by her stomach! She is so nervous because the wedding is next weekend and we have to go back next tuesday for another fitting for her HOPING its all fixed because she will NOT be able to go back 2 more times (another fitting and pick up) before the wedding. One of my BMs had a problem there too and it was a big mess. I was there when another woman got a dress 4 times her size... I dont know if Liz works there anymore (the original woman who I really liked)but no one knows what is going on anymore! Oh- and my mom called labor day weekend to pay off my dress by credit card and they told her last night she hadnt. Well they finally looked through records and guess what? They found the reciept. They are way to busy there to be taking in the kind of business they have been and either need to get more people or turn some customers down! Its horrendous...

I was there on Tuesday night...
for over 2 hours. It is ridiculous. I am not sure about Liz still being there. She and I lived in the same apartment complex for several years and my son is friends with her daughters. I called today to see if my dress was ready for me to pick up tomorrow since I am getting married on Sunday and they told me that it is done and just waiting to be pressed. I will update you on how it all turns out.

I am sorry to hear about your dress probs...
I ordered my wedding gown from there. I hope I have better luck. I guess I should call to make sure they ordered it. I have a while, but I do not want to take any chances.

I am sorry to hear about your dress probs...
I would absolutely keep on checking to make sure it has been ordered and to make sure that it comes in. I hope that your experience is better than mine was. Perhaps they will straighten out whatever their problems are before you get to the fitting stage. Also make sure that you keep all your receipts and check your bill very carefully. Best of luck to you.

Here is an update...
I went this afternoon to pick up my dress and my daughter's. I had not only been there Tuesday night and reminded them about correcting the alterations on my daughter's dress, but I had called them yesterday to make sure they were done. Well...after waiting for about 1/2 hour, since there was only 1 salesperson there, I discovered that they had not fixed her dress. The beading was still hanging off the shoulders. Can you imagine if I had taken their word for it? And although I checked my dress as best I could in the store (it was on a hangar and in the bag)when I got it home I found another stain. No one but me will know it is there, but I have to say that if you have already gotten your dress or your girl's dresses there, be very careful and check every thing they do. If you haven't gotten your dress there, don't go there. You will save yourself a lot of aggravation.Welcome New Vendors
