Bridal Suite Reviews
So I went into the city yesterday for fun to try on bridal gowns for the first time. We decided to go to the city because my sister lives there and I wanted to check out RK bridal and Kleinfelds. Unfortunately, I could not get an appointment at Kleinfelds until the 26th. So we decided to check out some other places.
RK - I am not really a 'shopper.' In other words, stores like Forever 21 and H&M stress me out. I'm not a 'searching shopper.' So when I first walked into RK I was like 'oh youve got to be kidding.' But we went with it and searched for dresses until my name was called. Not off to a good start in my book. Once I was called I worked with Olga and she was amazing! She really was so sweet. She listened to me and really helped me figure out what I liked and didn't like. It was overall a great experience and I would definitely go back. I found a dress that I really loved...but it was my first stop so I didn't know if it was 'the one.'
JP Collections - This was our second stop. OMG this place was not what i was expecting. They didnt have any of the dresses I wanted. I had called ahead to check and they said they had them, which is why I went there. So I tried on some dresses and they were just not me at all. But the people were very polite and really tried to help.
Manhattan Bridal - This was the 3rd and final planned stop of the day. This was even worse than the last. The owner sent me and email listing the dresses they had in stock, I picked from those. And when I got there they only had 1! I was so pissed. So the girl helping me was trying to ask me questions about what I wanted, but I really wasnt sure. I wanted to try on a bunch and see what I like. But she couldn't get that. She just kept asking 'what exactly are you looking for?' It was so frustrating. Eventually I just looked at my mom and told her I was done and wanted to leave. The girl didn't even look at us when we said goodbye and didnt respond! She clearly did not like me.
Macys - so now i'm frustrated and pissed. So my mom suggests we stop at Macys in an attempt to not end this day bad. It started great at RK and I was so discouraged at this point. So we went to Macy's. A girl named Samantha helped me and she was really fun. She had my try on silly dresses first to lighten the mood and then we got into so really beautiful gowns. I found another dress that I loved....still unsure it is 'the one.' But we did walk out of there with a dress in mind.
Overall, not a bad day. I know that I look best in diamond white, satin, and beading/crystals. I do not look good in lace for some reason. Anyway, I think I had a good start. My mom and I are heading over to Paradise Bridal today to see what they have. So wish us luck. Sorry this is so long. I just wanted to give you all some reviews so you don't make the middle two mistakes I did.
