Bridal Trunk Shows

What are the benefits of trunk shows?? I was reading that January through May is bridal trunk show season and heard of two coming up in February. I'm honestly not sure what they are and what the benefit is. Anyone go to one? Good deals? Unique dresses? What's the deal?

Trunk shows usually mean that the dress designer that is coming in will bring their entire current dress collection to the event and most of the time they will offer some type of discount if you make a purchase.

Benefit is that most designers offer some sort of discount if you purchase a dress at their trunk show.
