Bride & Groom Seating at Reception?

Bride & Groom Seating at Reception?

The other day when I went to go make a another deposit on my RH, I had a ? about table arrangements for the bride and groom. (The two of us will sit at the main table and the bridal party will be at different tables with their spouses). We were told that the two of us will be at the big table and our cake will also be on it. I didn't want to say anthing yet because our wedding is over a year away, but don't you think that if its just the bride & groom, then they should be at a small table? (Otherwise I think it will look wierd) Also, isn't the cake always on its own table?

At my RH, the table we sat at had the cake on it, as well as all the BM's bouquets. It looked really nice actually. In the below picture, you can see our table in the background.

Even though your wedding is a year away... you booked your hall and I am sure put down a deposit so you can tell them anything you want at any time IMO. I would voice what you want now and that way if they need to get a small table for the cake or you and your FH, they will have time to make the arrangements.

I'm sure they'll do whatever you want, just ask.

I would say something. Give the bridal party and their family a bigger table and get 2 smaller tables. One for you and FH and one for the cake. Thats what we had.
