Pancho's - Hempstead tpke, not far from 107, I think
On the Border--Broadway Mall, Hicksville
Mangoes--Bethpage

anyone know of a good place that's just a little into Suffolk?

Maybe this will help. It's from page 12 of the bridentology thread.

History of the Bridentologists:

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, yesterday to be exact, an angry BM posted her thoughts and created uber drama. Also not so very long ago, another LIW's FH called LIW a cult...prompting jokes about ceremonial robes and candles. To further promote the fun and bring us all back down to earth through laughter (and tears from those on the verge of termination at work from laughing so hard), we wanted to make the 'cult' come alive.....more so than ever before. Through a little tongue-in-cheek wit about 'PC', as 'founder' I decided that calling it an addiction was insulting to real addicts and that many girls would not be permitted to join because their LIW-A (LIW Annonymous) Sponsors simply wouldn't allow them to venture on a journey with our belief system if it were in fact called an 'addiction.' Thus, out of disapproval of TC (who actual image is not allowed on 'Bridentology' threads) and Scientology, the Bridentologists began. All names are given by our very own, kittythestray.

Hey, you got it! 107 is 'Hicksville Rd' although it runs thru other towns. I think Pancho's would be considered Bethpage, but I'm not sure.

Bethpage and Hicksville are in Nassau, but are Eastern Nassau, fairly close to Suffolk.

I believe we are aiming for places that are close to the Nassau/Suffolk border, but perhaps that's not correct. Anyhow, that's also why I was wondering if people knew places in Western Suffolk.

Let us know, fearless leaders!

But back to being LI-impaired.........coming from Queens, you would hop on the LIE East if you drive or could you get to the LIRR?

Hicksville and Bethpage both have train stations and are not bad rides.

smara travolta...107 is a road like '25' is (Jamaica Ave ---jericho tpke on LI).....i drive by st. johns to get to fh's gpa's, so i know the hike you'd have to make....maybe, GULP, if this is on a weeekend it might be easier for some to attend?

hmmmm, a weekend would be difficult for me b/c since FH lives and works in Manhattan and I live and work in Suffolk, and we're both so exhausted lately, we've only been seeing each other on weekends. So we have to cram in all of the wedding planning PLUS quality time PLUS a never-ending stream of family events, Christenings, Communions, Graduations...you get the idea.

But if it works for everyone else, so be it!

well, it doesn't have to be...but i was thinking of the city girls.....cause on a saturday i'd conveniently be able to pick up anyone from queens......not quite as accommodating on a weeknight as i am in east nassau unitl 5.

either is good for me.

mine are liquid...they go down easier and work faster.

I voted Nassau BUT I am on the Nassau Suffolk border so anywhere is good for me :) Also, if anyone needs a lift I would be happy to help out. And what about a Fri. Night not really a weekend yet not a weekday either....I dunno thought it sounded good in my head...

A Fri. would be cool for me because sometimes I am in NJ during the week for work.

OK...all this talk about margaritas and enchiladas has made me 'homesick' we had this great chain of mexican places in NC called 'mi pueblo'.....you know, pitchers of margaritas for $13 bucks, and all you an eat FREE chips and salsa...every now and then as a treat, i'd splurge for the spicy queso dip....how i miss that place...
