BRIDES BEWARE OF SCAMS!!!!!

OK, you guys remember I put my dress on ebay a few days ago. I had 3 interested people in the dress including 2 that were very eager to buy the dress right away. I thought the two poeple were the same person because they asked me the exact same questions, had a bad command of the English language and wanted to pay for it the same way. They both wanted to send me a cashier's check in a higher amount thatn the dress. Wanted me to take the $$ for the dress and then wire the money back to another person. I realized that it was 2 different people I was talking to so I said to one, I can only sell the dress to one person. OK so make the long story short. I was a bit suspicious because WHO in this world today will trust a complete stranger to give them 2,900 and expect them to wire back 1,900 back???
Why would they trust me??? But yes I have faith in good people in this planet, I thought it just might be someone acting on behalf of a buyer and they were just gonna make their commission. ANYWHO.....The check arrived yesterday. They gave me 2 set of directions. First I was to wire the money back to some girl...Then the day I got the check I was supposed to wire the money to another guy in NYC.....Then TODAY she wants me to wire the money to anohter person....I got a call from my bank today saying there is a problem with the check!!! I am TICKED OFF!!!!!! I am getting married in 3 months and I need to know If I'm wearing this dress or selling it to get the new one....I called the FBI and I reported this person!!!!!
Beware girls of scams like this!!! Now Thank Goodness I did not go to a cash checking place (which was one of the directions she gave me) cash this check and then wire the money to whoever....Then the check is bad and they would come after me!!!!! I am sooooooooo upset right now!!!!!! I really wanted to get the new dress but I guess I will just have to wear this one...which is a VERY nice dress don't get me wrong, I'm just not 100% about it....Anyway please be careful with rotten people like this!!!!

this is such a POPULAR SCAM!!!!! same thing happened to me, they tried to tell me that they had a check in a certain amount...but couldn't get it in another and i could just wire them the difference!!!

i hope your bank handles it all!!!! so sorry you got taken, those ppl suck!!!

There was something about this scam on the news not that long ago, I remember seeing it. It's not just Ebay that it is happening on. They said to never let anyone send you a check for over what the amount it and ask for money sent back.

And in all honesty I have seen something like it on this site, somebody asked me if I wanted to do something similar,that involved sending them money back, and I said no because I do not REALLY know the person, even though they sound nice. So be careful ladies!!

Im sorry you had to go through that but personally i loved your dress i remember the pic and maybe is was ment to be i think you will look amazing in it good luck and keep us posted

UPDATE 2:

I spoke to my bank today and they said the check is fraudulent!!!!!!! No surprise there!!! I cursed the sh** out of the person in email!!!! I hope the FBI investigates since I put a complint with them!!! Well I guess I was meant to wear this dress after all!!!!
