Brides getting married at the hall....

How are seeing FH before the ceramony to take pictures. I was with a bunch of girls today who suggested that we take most of the pictures before the ceramony so that I don't miss the cocktail hour. Me and my FH wanted not to see each other until I walked down the aisle. My sister said even though people where giving me advice today, I should do what I want.

thats funny you say that because i was just asking my guy that. he said no, he wants to wait till CH.

We are seeing eaach other before to take pics. Photogphr will capture 'the' first moment & I dont think that will spoil when i walk down the asile.

2nd Reason - paid ENOUGH for the day & DONT want to miss ANY of it

Thanks Chris If I miss the cocktail hour, its not a big deal to me. I guess I have 364 days to make up my mind.

What I'm doing is taking all the pictures that don't involve the two of us seeing eachother before the ceremony. Then the big pictures with us and stuff during the first half hour of the cocktail hour, so while i may miss some of it, at least I won't miss the whole thing :)

Thats exactly how i feel my parrents are helping out and i told them they are spending somuch i wantto be there to enjoy it, they are upset because we are doing ALL pics before and they think family should wait to see me walk down the isle so thye can oh and ah. that doenst maatter to me,i want to enjoy myself

We're doing the same thing. We don't want to see eachother until I walk down the aisle.

You have plenty of time to decide what you would like to do. I've always imagined my FI not seeing me until I walked down the aisle. I was pretty adamant about it until a month ago. One of my photographer prospects convinced me. We live together so it's no surprise for him to see me. And since FI and I are paying for the wedding, I want us to enjoy EVERY MINUTE of it. My Mom needed a little convincing too. I let her read the Bridal Bargains book where they explain the better points of taking pics before the wedding. She eventually came around. And there will be the picture of when he first sees me. Hope it helped somehow!

me four, me five, me six.
We have an evening ceremony & reception. If we don't take pix b4 hand, we will not have any day pix. So FH has to see me! He'll get his first view of me when we are taking pix b4 the wedding..

Wasn't crazy about the idea but sometimes you have to do what you have to do and hell with tradition!

We are not getting married at our hall so we are taking pics during the CH.

I just wanted to add that it bugs me when people say (and this is not directed towards any specific comment on here)--that it ruins the surprise or the feeling of when you walk down the aisle and FH see's you for the first time. I can't stand that!!! When was the last time your FH saw you in your wedding dress walking towards him down the aisle...NEVER!! So it is always going to be emotional or a surprise or whatever it is that we try to acheive with not seeing him beforehand.

Thanks! Just had to get that off my chest! It drives me crazy!!!

No to mention I want to enjoy ALL of my wedding..We PAID for it !!

I am taking pictures before hand because we live together and I feel that makes things differnet. I also do not want to miss one minute of anything, we are paying for so many extra's i dont want to miss a thing. the phtotographers make it a really nice event when you meet for the first time.
