I'm so glad you posted this. I am having the hardest time deciding. When we booked the RH they were flexible since it's our place for the day. But now the florist and band, etc need a definite start time. My church is very accomodating as well which is why we haven't yet made this decision but I can't figure it out. I want people to be able to go to the ceremony and a friday night in the summer is going to be hard for people. Any suggestions??

Our ceromony is at 3pm at my fh church in paramus and then our cocktail hour starts at 7.. our hall is 50 minutes away without traffic!! And I am planning on taking pictures at a park near my hall....its going to be a close one!

we r getting married at 330....we r having the full mass ..our cocktail hour starts at 730
4:30...my church had the choise of 430 or 6 so I went with the earlier one so my reception wouldnt start so late

I would like to have the ceremony earlier in the day and then the reception starting later but everyone asks me what the people who go to both are supposed to do in between. You have a lot of time in between your ceremony and CH- what are your guests going to do?

Church is at 3:30 - only a ceremony Cocktail hour starts at 6:30 - we're getting an extra hour - half of it goes to cocktail, the other half tacked on to the end

CH is 6:30-8...we wanted to give enough time for guests to make it to the CH/Reception if they were coming from work...

Church is at 4, but trying to get it moved to 3:30...CH starts at 7...but we have a hospitality hour at 6 for anyone from out of town that has no where to go.

Ceremony is going to be at 4:30 as of right now. I really wanted 4pm but the church is giving me some problems they originally said no earlier then 5 but I chewed them down lol still holding out for 4 though. I wanted to have time to be able to get from nesconset to centerport, take pics and still make it to my cocktail hour starting at 7pm (I am DETERMINED to enjoy my cocktail hour lol!) We are now contemplating doing some pics before church because we are getting married in november so it gets darker out earlier but we will see.

ceremony 530 ch 600 we are taking pics before the ceremony so we can enjoy our ch even if its just us in the bridal suite

But I am still undecided if I am going to have a mass. Right now it is just a ceremony but I am not positive on that.
