Brides getting married/got married at the RH

Hey girls!
I have a few questions that we are unsure about (most which will sound silly) and I was hoping someone could clear it up!
We are getting married at Larkfield (East Northport), we live in East Meadow and we are seeing eachother before hand. Ok my questions now :)

For girls getting married at your RH are you taking pictures elsewhere first? If so, are you doing it near the RH or near your home?

Where is your big reveal going to be? And whose going to be there?

How are you getting to your RH? How are you getting to the before picture spot?

Are you checking into your hotel first?

Are you families and BP going to take pictures with you? What are they doing about hotel check in?

Are you worried about guests seeing you in the dress before you walk down the aisle (if you are taking pictures at RH)?

Thanks so much! I know its a lot but we are very confused..we are about to block the hotels and want to make sure its possible..also we are trying to figure out if a limo is worth it!

hi there,

i don't have it all figured out yet, but i'll answer what i can...

my FH and i will both have stayed over at the hotel the night before and will likely do our reveal at the hotel (where we will both be getting ready). not sure who will be at the reveal (maybe maids of honor & best man - or just us??)

pictures will begin toward the end of us getting ready. then FH and i are taking off with our photographer to take photos (probably somewhere near our venue, and definitely at our venue).

wedding party will join us at 4pm for photos, family will join at 4:45 for photos. we sign the ketubah (jewish custom) at 6pm, and ceremony starts at 6:30pm.

at first i was concerned about guests at the hotel seeing me as i'm leaving all dressed up, or people arriving at our venue early while we're still taking photos... but seriously, if they see me, they see me. definitely have other things to worry about! :-P

I'm getting married at the RH and I can answer a few of your questions:

I will be getting to the RH by a limo with my parents and my BP. The same limo will then after dropping us off go get FH and his BP and parents.

We will be taking pics at the RH so we don't need to leave once we are all there.

Not sure how we will be doing the reveal yet, but I will see FH before the ceremony. I will be taking pics with my BP, parents and grandparents only before the ceremony. I will see cousins and aunts later on during the night. I really want to enjoy my CH.

My guests will not see me before the ceremony. I asked my photographer about this and we figured the picture times. We will stop a half hour before guests will be arriving so no one sees me.

ok, we are getting married at the RH and also seeing eachother beforehand -

Im staying at the hotel with my mom & sis the night before -
The photog will come to the hotel about an hour before we leave to go to Russo's for pics.... I really dont want that many of me getting ready but would like pics of me, fh, and bp at the hotel -

FH & I are taking a bentley (whoop whoop!) from hotel to RH -
I have a 21 passenger Infiniti taking some guests and family from hotel to RH

We are then taking more pics at RH, and hope to be done with everything before the CH
Im hoping to be in my bridal suite drinking champagne before the guests arrive and then go from there to the ceremony!

Wow I don't know where to begin. I want to take my bridal pics away from the reception hall maybe at a nice park I hear Old Westbury is very popular. I want FH to meet me there and the photographer can snap when we first see each other. I also want my entire bridal party there because I don't want to spend my entire cocktail party taking pictures. We're not getting a limo we think it's pointless I'll just have my MOH drive me to the RH (i know not so glamorous but I need to cut back cost and a limo is unnecessary). I think its a waste of money to get a limo. I'm staying at the hotel with my girls the night before so I'm going to have our honeymoon suite reserved and we'll just check in after the reception. HTH

Oh i am so glad that i am not the only one who's not getting a limo. Now i feel more comfortable with the idea. I think it is pointless too specially that i plan on putting the dress on in my bridal suite.

I answered all your questions

We are only taking pictures at the RH to save time and money on transportation to another place.

Where is your big reveal going to be? And whose going to be there?
The reveal will be done at the hotel next door where i will be staying. Photographer will set up a private area where we will meet, just me and him.

How are you getting to your RH? How are you getting to the before picture spot?
We are staying at the hotel next door and won't need transportation as it is connected together.

Yes

Ceremony doesn't start till 12. Everyone who needs to take pictures will show up at 9 to start taking pictures so everyone can enjoy their cocktail hour later.

Not at all. As i said above, BP and family will be at the Hotel and RH at 9 and we will begin photos then. We should be done before ceremony time

i was dead set against seeing FH before the ceremony but my photographer talked me into it because she said i'd miss a good chunk of my CH if i didn't. So, yes, I'm going to see FH beforehand and take pictures at a few places that I scope out with my photographer.

I'm likely going to do the reveal at the hotel (am checking in the night before the wedding) and then am planning to get a party van to transport the bridal party to the different picture locations and to the RH.

Will be taking the family shots during part of my CH but haven't really thought about that part yet.

We're getting married at Oheka, and will do a 'first look' before the ceremony at the base of the main stairs. I think it's just the two of us, so that we get an intimate moment before the chaos begins! We're taking pictures together after the 'first look.'

I'm checking in at 8am, and getting ready there with my sisters and mom. FH's checking in at 10am with the groomsmen, and get ready there too.

I'm not too worried about guests seeing me in my dress, as long as FH doesn't until the 'first look.' I LOVE the dress, and am eager to wear if for as long as possible lol.

Were still unsure about the hotel stuff. As far as the the timing, we're all getting ready at the RH. The limo will pick me and the girls up at 9:30am and we will be at the RH by 10:15am. The boys will be picked up at 10:45ish and will be at the RH by 11:15am. Pictures will start at 3:00 and will end by 5:30. The ceremony starts at 6:30, but I will put 6:15 on the invite. As for getting home we have a Bentley that will be taking us to where ever we end up. We have it from 11:45-1:00am. We still haven't finalized the hotel stuff so we just have to call the limo company and tell them where we will be going. We do have two smaller limos coming back to get FHs family and my family to take them home after the reception. HTH!

So FH and I along with our parents will stay @ a hotel near the reception hall. We will both get ready in the morning and then go along with our bridal party (who will meet us at the hotel,) go to our picture location for the reveal. Our parents, bridal party and us will go to the picture location. I will ride in the Rolls Royce with my Mom going but on the way to the reception hall, FH and I will ride together.

I was REALLY not liking the idea of FH seeing me before the wedding but in order for us to get the pictures that I want....I had to compromise. The pros of doing pics before is you won't have tons to take later, when you really want to enjoy your wedding. Also I get to take pictures when I'm all 'fresh' from makeup and hair.
