brides, I need your help, bridesmaid dilemma

Today, I found out which I knew due to many reasons of my friends will not be able to be in the party, her husband was her escort so things are still even thing is now I only have a maid of honor and two bridesmaids instead of three... is it okay to keep it this small.... should I explain the circumstances to another friend and ask someone else and have one more girl than guy??? I was thinking of asking a friend of mine and having her daughter be the flower girl, now I dont have one of those but I dont need one either should I just leave it MOH and two or ask someone, I dont mind it small though and would rather just have who I really wanted, please advice if you think I should leave it be or ask another girl.... thanks!!

If you asked a new friend would there dress still be from the same dye lot?? Would she match?? I dunno, I wouldn't have a B list bridesmaid. I think your bridal party sounds great who cares if it is small, some people don't even have bridesmaids and you have two and even enough guys to match them up with! yeah! I would only ask another close friend if a dress was already ordered and flowers and everything else?? Has that happened yet??? Laurie

I think you should leave it the way it is. There is nothing wrong with having a small wedding party. I think it makes it more special for the people you did choose.

I agree with Colleen

You should leave it the way it is. We have un enven BP, but that's the least of my concerns - we'll figure something out for walking down the isle, etc. I think if anyone else was asked now, they might be insulted that they weren't asked first.

Leave it the way it is! If those are the people you selected, don't ask someone else just so you can have 3. I say do what you want.

I agree

I went through the same dilemma being uneven, when someone dropped out b/c of pregnancy...you want people who are close to stand up for you... uneven is perfectly fine...

oh, also her is my two cents (con't) if she is a close friend and there is no bad blood that she dropped is it proper to really find someone to take her place would she be insluted.. Here is my story. Joe was supposed to be in his cousins wedding 9-21 but do to 9-11 and him being on base he wasen't sure if the AF would let him leave base to fly to PA. Needless to say his male cousin had another friend kinda lined up, but his new bride was like no.. that was joeys place and just because he can't be there doesn't mean we should just throw in someone else. She thought it would be disrespectful to Joe if he was just replaced... She could care less if it was uneven. Naturally Joe's circumstances are prolly way different then your friends... But anyway, long story short. Joe was able to leave and board a plane 12 hours before the wedding and just made it to PA on time! Only if I had dresses would I replace and still I would be careful.
